HK IBD SA 2015 for US School Based Recruiting Only
I do realize that there's another thread titled Asia IBD SA 2015, however, I think that thread's topic is way too broad since it covers SG, HK, US Schools, HK schools, etc. That's why I started this thread exclusively for kids from the US colleges who are going through the HK IBD SA application process. Please feel free to post your status in this internship hunt!
So far the only banks that sent out their first rounds are:
Barclays
MS
JPM
MS IBD HK has not yet started its 1st round interview process.
Here's what the hr told me 5 days ago
"Decisions concerning timelines for 1st round interviews will be decided once all candidate applications have been reviewed in full. As such, we do not have an idea at this stage as to when interviews are likely to take place."
hmmm.....how come some people from US schools have gotten interviews then?

I got MS first round invitation this morning.

I just got CS this morning, JPM told me 2nd batch has not started.. May I know if everyone is from core or non-core schools? Does it make a difference regarding the timelines? I am non-core btw.

For HK, yes. The HR said they are still reviewing resumes and an update will come shortly.
yeah you guys will hear back really soon as the interview deadline is around Dec 17 according to the first round interview email.

Anyone got Citi email about still reviewing feedback? This is for wave 1 ppl I guess. There are 2 versions of emails, one is informing if selected for next round by end of dec, the other ver is simply stilling reviewing. Dunno the difference.

What I heard is one week. It took me almost two weeks tho. Are you from a target school ?
Kind of. I'm actually in Canada but my school is comparable to a US target.

Yes GS is pretty much done with invitations DB started but you might still hear back because invitations are from interviewers not HR

was told not yet for US-based. But it really depended on when your 1st round happened.
Was Dec 1st the last day of first round? How could they take so long...
I didn't even hear back form JPM for first round and my application page shows "application under review now"
Anyone hear back from DB yet? I go to a target US school, finished online assessments back in November. Haven't been rejected, but also haven't gotten any updates since.

Wow, this HK recruiting pace is just a little unbearable compare to the accelerated US program.. Still haven't heard back almost anything for the second round interviews and some of the first round :((
