Brown University

Hi, so I've heard that Brown tends to be pretty good in terms of per capita IB placement.

Could someone speak to some other details about Brown or maybe any specific BB/EB/MM that recruit at Brown?

Brown alum- we place pretty well per capita as you said. Not a ton of kids interested in IB, pretty much everyone who recruits lands something good. Know people who went to PWP (believe we usually send 4-5), Evercore, GS, MS, JPM, Centerview, Barclays, and BAML. Rest of BBs are possible but not a huge pipeline, rest of EBs are going to be a bit tougher. Also send lots to MMs/Boutiques like Blair, HW, PJ Solomon to name a few. Feel free to follow up w any questions

See above ^  But, in my time there

BB's - Places very well into GS, BofA, JPM, and Barclays. Some in MS, CS, and Citi.  Solid presence in top groups as well (GS TMT/FIG, JPM HC, BofA LevFin, etc).

EB's - Places many into Lazard, Evercore, Moelis, Centerview, Greenhill, PWP

Other - Several go to places like Blair, PJ Solomon, HW, and smaller shops.

Most go to NYC, some HK, SF, or Chicago. Many students also choose to go into S&T & Asset Mgmt as well.

You can also recruit out of college to HF's (Point 72, Bridgewater) and know several who got offers at or were in advanced stages at PE shops like (Ares, Vista, BX, KKR, BainCap, Warburg, Golden Gate)

Though more kids at Brown end up becoming Doctors, Consultants, Lawyers, Software Engineers/Startup, and Politicians than go into Finance, if you want to do finance, you can get a great offer.
