hey, seems like I missed the deadline. I have been looking for this diversity program, but not fully sure what exactly the program is. Do you have more info on this?

I'd love to hear if anyone has additional information on this program as well! However, since it's new this year, I expect we're all a bit in the dark.

Applied near the end of March and received a Hirevue a few days later. I haven't heard anything back since submission.

That's awesome! I just found out about it last week and applied a few days ago. Got my HireVue invite today. How was it? Was it mostly behavioral type of questions?

It says the second and final round is a Superday format interview. I've seen varying accounts on here, but does anyone have any insights into what to expect for an IB Superday? Thanks so much!

Hi i wanted to know if you made it to interview round and also got the job. if you made it to final interview round - superday. how was it, what type of questions where u asked. how has been your experience if you were selected

I applied on the last day and got the hirevue invite a day later. Preliminary research seems to indicate that a large percentage of applicants got a hirevue.  Hirevue questions I got were

"why goldman/ibd"
"what characteristics make a good IBD associate and what characteristics do you have"
"Tell us about a time you exceeded expectations and how/why"
"Tell us about a problem you solved"
"what would you do if you joined a team mid project and it was known that that team was difficult to get along with"

I'm a 31 year old lawyer with no bank/finance xp and an undergrad degree in economics. Good GPAs in both undergrad and law from a flagship state university. I would consider it a major upset if i get past the hirevue screener.

Still waiting on my end. Rumors are NYC SDs will be in the first and second weeks of May, so I expect we'll hear something soon.

Being peak recruiting season, I'm sure HCM is swamped. Not to mention, if IBD people really are providing input to applications, they're bogged down with all those 10Qs right now.

For anyone that has applied to this bridge to banking program, are you all based in the US? Just curious since I'm in APAC region and surprised that they even sent me a Hirevue in the first place. I heard US visa application process is extremely slow and difficult at the moment.

I'm based in Florida. I suspect the program was designed mostly for people who already live in NYC, especially given how short the timeline is.

The job says its nyc based. There’s no even enough time from now to mid June for GS to run background checks (they usually take roughly one month in banking). So not clear on their timeline for this program

Nothing from me, still says “under consideration”. I would say (not to be arrogant) I have a strong resume but I didn’t do well on hirevue. I was working late and traveling for work the week hirevue was due and elements were not ideal to do well. I hope everyone from this thread gets invited to SD

Do you know how many people got invited to SD and peoples backgrounds? Like other financial services or something completely different?

Major bummer that the rest of us weren't informed.

Wonder how many applicants they got for 12 spots. Probably a few thousand at least I would bet.

I think they don’t send rejections until after offers are accepted - just in case they need to do more interviews (not luckily but it’s a way for them to protect themselves) I’m curious if the people they picked are coming from other financial services jobs or outside the industry. Your friend who  was invited to Sd, does he have finance/ acc background?

Well then I have no idea what's going on...I just got called for Superday for next week.  Maybe the Superday that's being reported here didn't materialize enough solid candidates/offers. Super confusing. Their whole recruiting team and process is a complete shitshow lately.

Hi i wanted to know if you made it to final interview round - superday. how was it, what type of questions where u asked. how has been your experience if you were selected

Congrats! What industry are you coming from if you don’t mind sharing? I think they might of had two super dates, not to overwhelm the interviewers on one day

I was in the Tuesday Superday cohort like the other poster here. I've already been contacted from a different HR group regarding the background check process. No offer yet, but I presume it's coming (🤞🏼) as soon as they get farther with the check...I suppose the check is a parallel process.  And I imagine that's why they haven't cut those who are still at the HireVue level.  Although, how many Superday candidates would have to blow up before they go back into the original pool? Seems pretty rude not to explain where they are to everyone.

Hi i wanted to know if =you made it to final interview round - superday. how was it, what type of questions where u asked. how has been your experience if you were selected

I just withdrew my application. They're wasting our time, like they've done so many times before with me and I am sure others here.  I was actually trying to coordinate chats with various IBD VPs and they had had the Superday already. They can piss off, really. This is not about getting axed, it's their lack of basic respect for the candidates.

Harvard I’m not sure why you’re so angry, it’s pretty standard process in financial services..they have made a few mistakes I noticed with providing proper dates when things are due but that’s not here or there

I don't want to reveal too much that might identify me, but if you haven't been through a Diversity Recruiting process (such as this program is), I certainly hope you never do.  Completely disorganized, incompetent, disrespectful team. I cannot tell you how much of a clownshow that was. I can see the same writing on the wall, and have tended to overinvest in the GS recruiting processes, to the detriment of other outstanding banks and more respectful HR interactions. I have an offer in hand, I'm fine.  All of you who want to keep spinning your wheels with them, that's your choice.  But they're taking the people from the pool they saw on SD.  Maybe they'll let us know in a few months.

I'm still "Under Consideration" for something I applied for 8 months ago.  Sorry, but that's not a "pretty standard process".  Cheers

Oh sorry I misunderstood. I thought they only opened the application in March. If it’s been 8months that’s not good. Congrats on your other offer

This one opened in March, you are correct.  But I am referring to a prior and technically still ongoing experience that's now at 8 months (and I also separately know they have filled it). That speaks to disorganization, disrespect...and arrogance. Thanks for your congrats though!

FYI, I have a small update to the comments here...I was following up w/HCM on next week's Superday, and asked a bit about the process, timeline, headcount, etc.  It's looking like they will allocate space for just 10 (not 12 as in their original communications to some of us). Maybe IBD is already seeing the writing on the wall for capital markets this year; I don't know what's driving the cut.

Also, mine will be the second and final Superday they will have--ie. they are not going back into the HireVue pool if you haven't been contacted by now. I know this is not what many were looking to hear, but I hope it's at least helpful for prioritizing your recruiting efforts.

As anyone heard back from HR. I did the super day last week and from my understanding, they noted all offers should be given out by Tuesday and my application still says under consideration though vCheck has been doing background checks on me.

How important do you all think thank you emails are? Does it really impact hiring decisions? Also do you usually ask each interview for their email address? I’ve asked in the past before and received odd reactions.

Did anyone hear back for hireveu or any other update for the 2023 program? The deadline was 2 days ago 4/10/2023

Made a couple of other posts just now..my status changed to "Not Retained" and I applied last Thursday (4/6). Thought I would at least get the HireVue lol

All of the hirevues were already sent out and finished last Friday 4/14. Everyone who submitted is waiting to hear if they made it to Super Day. Unfortunately, "not retained" means you weren't selected.

Those who were selected for Hirevue, would you be able to please share your background - work exp + education+ no. of years of experience. Thanks
