Completely contingent on bank - as mentioned - also depends on how the class does in recruiting

Current summer associate at a EB. Moelis and Citi gave offers preemptively, as widely discussed. BAML and PJT both wrapped up internships in the last couple weeks, both at/near 100% offers. Most other notable banks have not finished up yet. GS and MS wrap up this week so their figures should be indicative of overall rates.

Anecdotally, most of my classmates across the street have heard that return offers will be similar to past years. A few exceptions will be boutiques that don’t have a strong RX presence and larger banks which weren’t able to capitalize on DCM work in the last quarter.

Citi was just a PR stunt. In the Citi thread, they mentioned it was just as hard as any other year as they have to meet "minimum requirements" and offers went out today. not everyone got a return. https://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forums/citi-return-offers-go-out-today-…

Really? How many of them? So intern analysts' return rate was 100%, and intern associate return rate was 0%? That is so harsh.

What? They told associate interns you're not getting an offer, then said, wait, we changed our mind, 10 of you 12 ARE getting offers?

EVR associates still have 1-2 weeks left on the desk. If analysts are any indication of what it might look like, I’d guess around 90% of NY M&A summer analysts got returns offers. I only knew 1 kid who didn’t get a return out of the ~15 summer analysts I know but anecdotally heard overall return offer rate was lower than the 95% it’s been in previous years.
