Morgan Stanley Experienced Professionals Program (MSEPP)

Did anyone else receive the hirevue for this program? Or have you completed it?

Curious how this specific interview process would play out due to them not requiring financial backgrounds.

Additionally, anyone think the program would be worth it? One rotation in FID and another in BRM and you get placed after... I work in another industry and applied on a whim, but wondering if an industry move would be worth setting back my old industry career (if I ever went back).

ps - ignore my industry title, saving myself in case they're lurking

I blanked through my video response so I'm sure I'm not getting a follow-up interview. Good luck to everyone else tho!

Man...anyone yet? Maybe they already responded to candidates they want?

I was not able to attend the info session. Did they give an idea of what compensation packages for this program looked like or what level you would start off in after you are placed full time? (Analyst vs associate). I can’t imagine the fixed income or BRM packages are as lucrative as one for M&A.

It's a dream job for me.  I have an unusual background working in ministry.  But I believe that I have gained the skillset they are looking for, albeit through an alternative route, needed to be successful in the position.  Honestly, I was glad to make it past the initial cut and am patiently waiting to hear if I am moving on.

Had mine yesterday. Nothing like a pretty chill conversation to make you want to work there even more.

apparently there is no super day (which I am thankful for)

Taken from an email:  If you are selected, there will be one additional round of interviews and then we will wrap the entire process by December 14th.

I had my first rounds last week. Interesting that there is another wave. Makes me believe they did not cut that many people after the initial hirevue. I personally know 5 people that were rejected after the hirevue

I was told they went from 800 applicants to 100 so a pretty significant reduction. I’d imagine ~40 will move on for 20 spots.

Oh wow. That was a huge cut after hirevue. Well I guess all we can do now is wait to see if we made the cut. How were your interviews?

Same conversation experience which worries me. All my friends had the chance to answer actual interview questions around why they’re a good fit and why MS whereas mine was just about my resume smh

Still waiting as well. I anticipate hearing something today since they plan on concluding the process in 2 weeks.

Well boys my friend just heard back from his recruiter. Final rounds happening next week and offers being sent on the 14th

I don’t think we can rely on those Glassdoor figures...at least I hope not. No potential for 100% bonuses in fixed income/brm?

A good question to ask is whether there will be a difference in pay between the training period, the rotations, and the FT offer.

if we end up getting GOOD offers, anyone up for roommates?

Haven't heard back either.. assuming the worst if SuperDay is Monday and Tuesday.

Although I heard back for my last round of interviews later than most.

My final interviews are tomorrow and I will see you boys in the big Apple for orientation.I am feeling very confident after that prep call.

That could be a good thing. I doubt they would spend additional time on a candidate if they didn’t need to.

or you could be on the line and they need a tie breaker lol

Did anyone else receive the additional interview email? Strange that only some of us got it and there were only 14 interview slots available

Just had one of mine. Was pretty relaxed. No technical/finance questions asked and was more about telling about myself.

I’m not going to lie, they had me in the first half hahahha. I am positive I just redeemed myself with my last two interviews and I will see you boys in NYC. The first round of brews is on me.

Just wrapped up. Good mix of some technical and fit. Overall feel really good about the outcome. Hope to see you all in the city

What details were provided for this 4th interview some people are getting. Is it a interview with another MD? Or something different completely?

Heard that offers will be communicated at some point next week. Gonna be a long week.

Wrapped mine up late yesterday and the last one went well. I don’t know about those other two though. I was told they are trying to wrap this up quick. How quick, I don’t know.

Good luck bro!  We really don’t know what they are looking for in these casual convos so you could still have a shot! I personally think they are selecting based on resumes due to the variance in interviewers and that some people had 4 interviews while others had 3.

Anyone going to apply to the equity research MSEPP if they don’t get into S&T?

Thanks Bro. A2 throwing in a wrench at the last minute. I took one for the team and emailed Anne to ask when we can expect to hear back

Just heard back from Anne. “ Per the below, we will follow up with all candidates in the upcoming week with final decisions. You are correct. All accepted candidates will need to relocate to New York for the program.” you can stop holding your breath ladies and gents. Sounds like we may not hear back until next week

I applied to the morgan stanley equity research program that had a Dec 6th Deadline. I just received today an email to complete my HireVue video questions which are due by Dec 20th

Same here. The equity research program is supposed to begin in February as well so I guess they will be moving pretty quick.

With Christmas eve falling on a Thursday I'm sure some of the MDs and others will be out some or all of next week. Hoping for something by Friday but if not I think we can count on something Mon/Tues

All of my correspondence came after hours so I wouldn’t count out today.

They got at least 20 people to inform, maybe 40 if they decide to call those that were denied too.

super anxious tho. Can’t make a lot of decisions until I know if I’m up and moving to NY or not.

I agree with your thinking here. I applied to both programs to demonstrate how much I want to work at MS. And equities and FI do not have the same HR teams anyway so I doubt they are weeding people out this way

I just completed my video interview, so we shall see how that plays out in the future. Hopefully, as a research scientist and covid in the news, they want to bring me in to join their healthcare team. Goodluck everyone. My deadline is  Dec 20th for the video interview. so hopefully by January 20th, we hear back from them.

Such a relief to check here and see no one has heard anything. I was starting to get worried. Hopefully we hear something in the next two days!! I have also ran out of nails to bite haha

Hey if it makes you feel any better we established they are in a room playing duck duck goose with our names in a circle

That does actually hahaha. I imagine all of you folks are extremely qualified so it would not surprise me if the selection process is hella arbitrary

I’m inclined to agree based on the email you received. I am hoping they can see our pain in here and make those calls earlier though hahaha
