is this for 2025 or 2026?
First round(One 30-minute interview) straight to super day (Three 30-minute interviews). Pretty standard technicals from the 400 question guide. Asked why greentech, leadership experience, types of IB, why Nomura over BB EB. If you have a good understanding of the WSP Red Book and STAR behavioral answers, you should be fine. Definitely know the renewable energy market too.
These banks asking why Nomura/Macquarie over other BB/EB are so retarded. You know, I know, and the next door Cindy know it's because BB/EB is out of the option.
Is it 1R straight to SD for FT as well?
what do you mean by types of IB?
Categories of IB (BB, EB, MM)
thoughts on greentech 2026?
You have a 50/50 shot of getting fired as a first-year analyst, so no positive thoughts. Also, they don't have deal flow, and this admin hates Greentech, so those are also negatives. It's mostly the 50/50 shot of getting fired that should really discourage you, though; job security is super important out of college. Having an IB job, any IB job, for over 2 years is going to set you up much better for future exits than getting fired from IB in the first few months.
Avoid if you don’t want to get laid off after working a few months full time for no apparent reason…
Elaborate?
Can confirm this story. They laid off a bunch of analysts 1's, a true rarity in banking. It wasn't even one-offs, it was multiple analysts 1's. Everyone I know in that group is looking to lateral and/or leave, struggling with both right now because the market suck,s and it seems like PE hiring for anything climate-related has halted drastically.
anyone heard back after superday yet?
Deal machine and extremely sweaty but good exits. They did 3 / 4 rounds of cuts in last 18 months in EMEA
