PE Interview across the country as an IB analyst, how to go about this?
I’m at a west coast bank and have an interview in NYC with a PE firm scheduled coming up soon. How should I go about this with work? Will I need to just request PTO just to do this interview and fly back?
would ask if zoom is possible given location constraint. It would be a total waste of time and money to fly across the country just to get rejected. What firm is this if you don't mind me asking?
It’s just an LMM PE firm. It didn’t seem like they wanted to do Zoom but will see lol. They agreed to reimburse flight + hotel

Fuck man, I'm on the west coast and might have to do this as well. Not looking forward to it. It's just such a time suck for a slim chance on the superday, because converting is damn difficult.
Yeah literally lol. Would suck to have to use PTO just to interview and possibly just end up getting rejected. But not sure how I can just disappear for a flight across the country and then also for the interviews…
Ass cheeks. And if you get multiple superday opportunities on the other side, spread out at different times, then its a bad / weird look.
