SUMMER 2023 Offer Decision: GS Nat Res vs PWP M&A/RX

Which offer would be better for PE exits? Interested in UMM/MF. Particularly in value oriented and distressed funds.
I know gs natural resources is kinda niche otherwise this would be obvious.
Leaning Perella because the pay seems to be higher and the culture is better than Gs. Curious to hear some thoughts. Thanks!

I'm retarded sorry working rn, would still honestly go with PWP for the same reasons but ymmv

Interesting. Curious to hear the reasoning behind this?

Thy get plenty of MF opps and send kids to great funds (especially for 20-25 man classes). Additionally lots of people at PWP (and places like EVR/CVP) self select to what they’re interested in because Mf PE sucks. How is UMM at $350k not a good exit when people work more hours on slightly larger deals at a MF for less money?

Also, can confirm that people stay at PWP because associate pay is insane, plus a good culture.

Hey man, not denying that there is self selection and totally understand the class is smaller too, but can you list some of these UMMs? I did several LinkedIn searches and can't really find any good placements.

Did the same thing (am a 1st year analyst) and know that quite a few people do choose PWP and other EBs over top 3 BBs. Most people don’t regret their choice
