Kamala Destroyed Trump

Even the most diehard Republican/Conservative cannot deny that Kamala utterly destroyed Trump. I'm by no means a democrat/liberal, but I find it unbelievable that there are people out there who watched that debate and when to bed thinking "Yeah Trump's the better option for this country."

"I have a concept of a plan" lol

"She copied Biden's plan and it's like 4 sentences. Run Spot Run" lol

"We have inflation like very few people have seen before...Many things are 50, 60, 70, and 80% higher than they were just a few years ago" lol

"In Springfield they're eating the dogs. They're eating the cats. They're eating the pets. I saw it on television" LOL

What a joke.

Trump forgetting (or just lying) violet crime rates are at a 30 year low is the best part. Or maybe its that illegal aliens killed 25 Americans last year. 25. 26 so far this year. 90 ppl died from allergic reactions.

Lowest crime in 30 years!

All it took was 37% of police departments to stop reporting the crimes.

Why didn’t we think of this earlier?

Again thats just not true. When you make a claim without evidence, we can just dismiss it without evidence.

Its amazing how you fail to think about that maybe the reason you think crime is so high is because your seeing it so much being mentioned! Media companies can get you to be just like how you are now - scared shitless and in a 24/7 fear mongering cycle.

Let me repeat it, Violent Crime is at a 30 year low. However, the select instances of it are being covered at an all time high to keep you stuck into the news cycle.

Yeah not his best night. In terms of substance he should have won, but Kamala outmaneuvered him in optics.

Laugh my fucking ass off. What substance? The "concept" of substance? Do you want me to recap the dumb shit he said during his debate with Biden also? This isn't one night of saying dumb shit. It's a life time of saying dumb shit because Trump is a dumb shit.

Against Biden he could get away with the dumb shit he says because Biden was also spewing nonsense because of his age. He can't get away with it with Kamala because only one of them is actually saying dumb shit. You can disagree with Kamala's policy all you want, but there is a stark difference between saying "I am pro choice and women should have control over their own bodies" and "Run Spot Run," which is 3 words btw...not 4 sentences...

Honestly think Trump was fully expecting to run against Biden and didn’t actually prepare for a competitive candidate who could string two sentences together in his re-election plan. His vitriol was for losing against Biden (to which was a close race) and the cognitive decline of Biden over the last 4 years meant Trump could absolutely dog smash him in any public speaking and likely coast to a win. The late switch out with Kamala, who proved is of substance on her own, made him look like a crazy conspiracy theorist. I was honestly surprised how moderate her policies were - strategically playing the centrist diplomat on hot button issues (Foreign Policy, Immigration etc.) I hope her economic policies for business growth are successful, it’s novel and her own to which I think a lot of folks kind of wrote her off as the dumb personality hire because she’s always smiling and giggling. Interestingly enough from minute 1 she put some bass in her voice and got down to business with policy after a pretty lofty woo-woo DNC speech. Well played.

I mean did we honestly think a criminal justice lawyer wasn’t going to do well in a debate setting? Lawyers are quite literally professional debaters…I’m just more surprised on how much I agreed with her on from a pure policy perspective.

What is your response to the last point of the debate? If you have all these ideas why haven't you worked on them with Biden already? I think results matter more than words, and Kamala was a bunch of words that debate. The results we've seen the past 4 years speak for themselves.

If you agreed with her policies you are a flaming liberal and a huge part of the problem we have in this country. Enjoy 50 million illegal migrants destroying social services.  You actually believe all her last minute policy changes to sound more centrist? Lol

I think she was fed questions in advance.  She was way too well prepared for some of those, despite being a well-established moron.  This is the same woman who couldn't even do a TV interview without someone next to her holding her hand.

Not that it excuses Trump blowing every single opportunity.  He should be annihilating her on immigration and instead he looks silly talking about dogs.

Hopefully it fades and I think it will.  The left is tearing down everything that built this country, and I think 51% of swing state voters will understand that in the end.

Look if I claim that Trump is wearing a pink jumpsuit with pictures of 2Pac underneath his suit - the burden of proof is not on you to try to prove me wrong.

"What can be asserted without proof can be dismissed without proof"

Do better man - your smarter than that.

The mental gymnastics Trumpers perform to defend Trump has got to be, at a minimum, Olympic Bronze level. Prepared for what? She wasn't asked about String Theory. She was asked pretty obvious and standard questions of any presidential debate - economic plan, abortion, immigration etc... I could have fucking guessed the questions. I will give you Trump's "concept of a plan" in a nut shell:

Concept Plan 1: Fearmongering i.e. "If Biden/Harris/Anyone but me gets elected, there will be World War 3, The Greatest of the Depressions, Destruction of suburbia, tens of millions of immigrants entering and committing crime." He literally said the same shit against Hilary and Biden. (Fun Fact: none of this happened by the way)

Concept Plan 2: Ad Hominems i.e. "Sleepy Joe Biden, Kamala is a childless cat lady, I was on a helicopter with Willie Brown (who in fact was not Willie Brown LOL) and he spoke terrible things about her"

Concept Plan 3: "I have a concept of a plan"

Concept Plan 4: " Run Spot Run, Hannibal Lecter"

Once again, you can reject Kamala's policy all you want, but one thing she said in the debate is certainly true "One thing you will never hear him (Donald Trump) talk about is you."

The left is tearing down everything that built this country

This statement sums up perfectly the problem with voters today on both sides. Rather than actually evaluating the presidential candidates and their policies, each side treats politics as though they are sports team and adopt this "us vs them" mentality. If a new Republican candidate came out in 2028 and supported nuclear warfare and raising interest rates to 110% you would still support him so long as he wears Republican shirt. Sad.

I didn't say a single thing defending Trump.  In fact I was critical of him here, and elsewhere in these forums.

The left is dismantling our foundational values around the economic system, law & order, free speech, government overreach, borders . . even the definition of a woman. It's a long list of basic common sense values and institutions that have made this country the most successful social science experiment in human history, and the left is tearing down all of it.

I am voting against the left, that's all.  I already hate Trump for losing to them last time, and I'll hate him even more if he blows it again.

He literally said the same shit against Hilary and Biden. (Fun Fact: none of this happened by the way)

All this stuff literally happened under Biden: foreign wars, massive illegal immigration, a bad economy.

Agree somewhat.

But:

1. There’s a lot of possible questions and they only have time for a few

2. Campaign schedule is busy

3. Stakes are high with 80m viewers in a close election

4. Polish, confidence and delivery weighs heavily on voter perception of the candidate

All of these factors add up to significant value in knowing the questions ahead of time

Yeah she must have been fed the questions in advance. How else could anyone anticipate that they might ask about the economy, immigration, healthcare, or current events in a presidential debate?

Reuss you have to see things from the Trumpers' perspective. When your presidential candidate has spent a decade saying things like Run Spot Run, it becomes hard to imagine that someone might ask about the economy.

Don't care, she's a DEI hire and Walz went to a 100% acceptance rate college. How do you go from Thomas Jefferson to that? 0% chance either knows what an income statement is. Both will sell out since they need money. Also passing a tax on unrealized capital gains is beyond retarded. I'm not voting for personality, so Trump is the obvious choice. Harris has also accomplished nothing of significance. She was literally chosen because Biden needed a "black woman" LOL She could have won if she took Shapiro as VP, refused to meet with Israel, so myself and the rest of Jewish community knows she's an idiot. Also she's done nothing her life aside from marry a dude who got the babysitter pregnant and then aborted the baby. Got her start by dating a 70 year old, completely failed at the border, and want's price controls lmfaooo (zero chance she's taken a high school econ class).

Don't care. He is a senile, convicted felon and sexual assault offender.

LOL this is the most WSO comment, it hurts. Talking about DEI hire and college rankings hahahah. Spoken like a true 2nd year IB analyst. You're definitely the guy who has a spaz attack in the office every time they hire a DEI or non-target. If you think Trump got into Wharton for any reason other than his dad, then I can't wait to see you how you will coach your kids to get into top schools.

0% chance either knows what an income statement is.

If you think Trump can walk you through the 3 statements, then I question your own ability to do so.

I'm not voting for personality

Yes you're correct that you are not voting for personality. What you are voting for are sports teams. The Republican party has historically supported the Jewish community. You are part of that community. I get it. As I commented above, if a new Republican presidential candidate in 2028 advocated for nuclear warfare against Iran, you would support that candidate because he is on your sports team.

Harris has also accomplished nothing of significance

What significant accomplishment did Trump accomplish exactly? Inherit a real estate business from his dad and then proceed to run it into the ground? Get convicted of multiple felonies? Hire a porn star and cheat on his wife? Actually isn't there a parable in the Torah about hiring porn stars and cheating on your wife? I think it said something about that not being a good thing to do. Please enlighten me with your Gold medalist mental gymnastics to justify your own hypocrisy. Here I'll start it off for you. "He didn't hire Stormy Daniels for sexy time. He hired her to teach him about the 3 financial statements." You set the bar very low for "accomplishments."

This right here is everything that the comment above regarding how republicans think. This comment is so gold in showing how little they can comprehend.

Awww mods removed your comment. Please re-post in a more appropriate manner so that we can continue. The gist of what I briefly read from you was "blah blah blah... DEI hire...blah blah blah...didn't accomplish anything." I was going to respond with something along the lines of "this discussion is a race to the bottom of who the shittier candidate is." And I was looking forward to getting into it because you continued to deflect rather than actually respond with anything of substance.

Also on the DEI stuff, I take it you prefer nepo babies instead? You wouldn't even know who Donald Trump was if it weren't for his dad.

Also, did you ever respond to the hiring a porn star and cheating on your wife and its relation to the Torah? Or do you still need more time to perform your gymnastics routine? Just use the routine I started you off with regarding Stormy tutoring Trump on the 3 financial statements. I won't award you a Gold medal, but I can definitely see at least a Bronze, maybe even Silver.

Lol hilarious you love censorship. Trumps going to win in a landslide as long as dems don't pull off another 3am voting scandal. Just try not to cheat this time

I think Donald Trump did just fine. I wasn't convinced by either candidates in the debate. Trump was being Trump, and Kamala was.... meh. She was very indirect and didn't make her proposition clear as for why I should for her or her pitch for the Biden/Harris admin being successful; look at recruiting nowadays... fortunate to be in IB but know so many who couldn't land an IB job vs just 2 years ago. and I have some agreement of the so-called vibesession. Trump said he "had a concept" of a healthcare plan. He flipped-flopped on abortion. He went off the rails with the eating dogs and cat. Not good. But I admit he's been the most restrained version of himself that I've seen so far. In the June debate he was similar, but he moderated himself a little more in this debate. This is such a low bar, but happy there is that improvement. Overall, each camp of the debate will say their candidate "DESTROYED" the other, but the real question that matters is whether the average undecided voter was swayed by one or the other. Polling results there were no significant shifts. Barely anyone convinced. Neither candidate improved their chances of winning on debate night.

Let's see how I feel in the coming weeks...

But why not evaluate both candidates on equal ground? Why do you provide a handicap for Kamala in favor of Trump? It's probably because you are partial toward the Republican party, which is fine. I typically am partial to the Republican party as well but I don't let that cloud my judgment of the actual candidates. If Kamala were saying things as ridiculous as Trump ("concept of a plan," "run spot run," "eating pets," and just general fearmongering), Republicans would jump on that in a heartbeat, but because it's Trump and "expected," then it's okay. Why is that? I appreciate that you recognize that Trump's "improvement" is a low bar, but if the roles were reversed, you would not provide the same leniency to Kamala/Biden/any other candidate.

She was very indirect and didn't make her proposition clear as for why I should for her

Did Trump make it clear as to why you should vote for him?

I'm not sure what this has to do with anything. If your point is that Biden/Dems are to blame for the state of the current economy then I would direct you to the comment I provided to iercurenc above. People don't realize how little power the president actually has over the economy especially in the short term. The state of the economy (high inflation, high interest rates) started under Trump, which even then wasn't really Trumps fault. Covid hit and caused most of the economic problems we see today. The government literally pumped trillions of dollars into the economy during covid, covid caused severe supply chain issues, Trump cut taxes and started a tariff war with China, then the Ukraine war with Russia. All of these factors contributed to inflation (some factors contributed more than others) and technically they happened under Trump's presidency, but I don't see any Republicans blaming him for that. Personally, I don't blame Trump for the current economy either because barring the tax cuts and tariff war, which in my opinion, relative to covid and the US printing trillions of dollars, were only minor factors in contributing to inflation. The choice to pump trillions of dollars into the economy was mostly a bipartisan decision, meaning whether it was a Democrat or Republican in the Oval Office, it probably would have resulted in the same outcome. Biden inherited the post-covid economy and once again, not much he can do about it as monetary policy and rates are controlled by the Fed. Although drastically increasing interest rates sucks, it is the only solution to inflation. The whole point is to slow down the economy. So yes it sucks that a lot of people have to get laid off, but that is quite literally the goal to bring down inflation. So once again, whether we had a Democrat or Republican in office right now, interest rate hikes would still have occurred because the alternative is far worse.

Kamala may have won the debate but definitely not as much as liberals think she did.

Trump did alright especially considering how biased and hostile the two ABC moderators were.

Here's the AtlasIntel (most precise pollster of the 2020 election) debate winner poll:

Kamala won but she definitely didn't "destroy" Trump - that's just your leftist bias that is speaking, OP.
