Thoughts on Andrew Tate?

He's been blowing up recently on Tiktok as trump esque figure.

I like him as he says what a lot of people are thinking but are too afraid due to social pressure/cancel culture. He also plays a hyper masculine character which is almost good due to the utter lack of masculinity nowadays.

But I don't like him because he's a grifter trying to make a buck off of impressionable young kids, I mean look at his IG video of a bunch of kids saying top g as he goes to his Bugatti, so his fan base consists mostly of 12-18 year olds.

What are your thoughts on him?

Hard to see how anyone takes him seriously, just another bullshit internet guru/personality. All he does is play a different character than the others by playing up his MMA experience, which isn't impressive, and mascularity. I've trained with pros and they're normal dudes, albeit tough as hell, not some weird macho characters.

He occasionally makes a decent point in a Tiktok but between his weird character and grifter bullshit, just a hard pass on any of his content

I only know of him because he pops up on that instagram search page where random videos show. I’ve watched some of his YouTube videos, and he is well spoken and says a lot of stuff I agree with.

I think kids could learn stuff from him, but there are much better role models out there. This guy just seems shady as he’s never clear on where his money has come from. Also, anyone selling a class to make you rich is a scammer.

Controversial

He obviously plays a hyper-masculine character and he on purpose says boisterous things however, watching his podcasts and not just soundbites he says a lot of good things.

He's opened my eyes to the feminisation of men and the traditional role of a man which has almost been completely lost in this generation. There's a reason why he's so popular. Him not being afraid to highlight the differences between men and women and speak about how the man is the leader of the family will do wonders to all those who heed his advice.

Looking at our modern problems through a woman/man lens explains a lot. Liberalism is inherently a woman thing, do things that feel good, don't ever test and push yourself, be fat, sit around all day thinking about your feelings. The rise of liberalism has directly coincided with the fall of masculinity in our society, which is extremely dangerous.

Men being men is very important and the constant demonisation ("toxic masculinity" and other terms) of traditional masculine traits has been a concerted effort and we're where we are because of that.

All this is a long way to say that Andrew Tate, while funny and over the top, is a godsend to young men

He's popular because he makes extreme statements. Being in the middle doesn't get views. Saying you see things one way but also can see another doesn't get clicks. It's part of why Trump was popular - he was of course popular with his own base (still is) but was also popular with the other side who clicked plenty of times because of how extreme his statements were.

I'm not sure where your definition of liberalism came from, how it's associated with being fat, etc. I actually think of conservatives having more of an obesity problem than liberals.

What is "men being men?" You say "we're where we are..." - where are we? Obviously this has some sort of negative connotation but it's an empty statement

Username not only checks out, but holy crap did your one dimensional view become 0.5 dimensions. It's as if you're not able to perceive individuals as complex beings and generalize and entire generation that is growing up with different problems and opportunities than the one before it. I was initially planning to dismantle your argument, but you didn't even say anything of substance or validity for me to argue against. You just made some huge generalizations that are baseless or based on a microscopic subset of the population that you're using as a norm.

I can't even begin to fathom how you've synthesized the political movement toward equality, the differences in generational struggles, the socioeconomic challenges that are inherent to one gender instead of the other into senseless dribble of no merit. My gosh... this is mindset can't even be challenged since it's not based in reason or logic. You basically just equated a vague generalization of several pseudo facts into (barely) full sentences.

Just another dorky incel type of dude who puts up of a bravado of masculinity to convince young people who don't know any better that he's an "alpha male". Take away the over produced ramblings that are popping up everywhere and he's just some angry bald guy with an overbite, messed up teeth and a lisp. Truly sad that many young men in this country have no real role models and have to resort to people like this.

I like goggins because he's an underdog story, I appreciate his views on race and hard work, and his principles are solid. that said, he is not as impressive holistically as jocko. jocko runs various businesses, hosts a podcast, has raised 4 kids, never divorced, is financially responsible (and I believe has FU money), surfs, trains, works out every day, reads voraciously, spreads good vibes, and genuinely seems like a pleasure to be around. he passes the "have a beer with" test (even though he doesn't drink), whereas goggins I feel like would be what happened at andrew schultz's wedding where instead of just chillin he'd challenge you to a pushup contest

so, if I had to pick just one male role model, it'd be jocko. if I can pick multiple, as I've said many times in the past, it's jocko then tim kennedy. cam Hanes and goggins are also awesome

Jocko is the real deal; Tate doesn't even belong in the same paragraph to be mentioned alongside him.

"Extreme Ownership" and "The Dichotomy of Leadership" are excellent books.

Be excellent to each other, and party on, dudes.

I caught my seven-year-old nephew watching him on tiktok. He's a funny character, and I agree with some of the common sense stuff he says. I don't agree with some other stuff, but he's like the Tekashi 69 of the red pill on youtube. He's like a mix of Dan Bilzerian, Tim Sykes, and Kevin Samuels. There's always going to be someone out there marketing to young men without fathers.

The guy might be a bit extreme, but I would consider him as a kind of counterbalance to the culture that is happening where being a victim, weak, simping seems to be very prevalent, even celebrated in younger people.

If your go to guy for viewpoints and life guidance is just a guy who talks about the girls he bangs all the time, you’re probably a teen. Guy said he doesn’t view any women besides his brothers girlfriend as human beings. Learning masculinity from him is like learning socialism from stalin.

Didn't that bozo recently get arrested for human trafficking or something in Romania? The whole reason he got internet famous was because people like Tom Segura would bring him on to talk or feature his clips specifically so everyone could laugh at what a cringe dumbass he is. Sure he says a few things that are in the same zip code as correct every once in a while, but a broken clock is still right twice a day so there's nothing to give him credit for in that respect.

you guys have too much time on hand to follow some no-name gurus on tiktok. don't you work like 100h per week. you have like 20h per week of free time and you decide to watch some weirdo showing off on tiktok. I personally decided to look him up, and even google doesn't know wtf this kid is. google shows a kickboxer who died a while ago.

He has some good points about hard work and discipline. Obviously wouldn't take dating advice from him or join his various scam clubs. If you pay 5k to join an internet men's club you truly have lost your fucking mind.

He speaks a lot of facts about the state of society but I don't agree with his "college is bad buy my course" advice because I think its really unethical to be advising impressionable kids bad life altering advice. Although I respect his success in business and is probably more successful than anyone on this forum being worth $100m at 35.

So, an asshole who presents himself as an "independent thinker" who is also an obvious con man?  Doesn't sound so much like someone who is "Trump-esque" as someone who saw what a great scam Donald Trump is and has been running and is consciously emulating it.

He's just another Jack Murphy. Plenty of bark, but no bite, and has to have a scandal behind the curtain. Ala the Romanian home investigation. He did a really long interview with PBD that was honestly interesting but illuminating on his misogyny. I get it that men should step up these days, but let it make you a true gentleman in the process. Not some narcissistic toolbox. If I want a toolbox, I'll pass on these two and get a practical and functional one from Home Depot.

The poster formerly known as theAudiophile. Just turned up to 11, like the stereo.

The dude literally just copied that shit and passed it off on his own.

He would think he is above it just because he is a grifter repackaging old time stuff for a new generation, but in reality it's same thing different coat of paint

Disregarding all the shady stuff about him, his core message is to embrace masculinity and have a tough mindset and a strong work ethic to become a high value person.I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Much better than the mainstream media message that men are toxic, should be blamed for all the worlds problems and that they should become "allies". He's an entertainer first and foremost and is out to make money for himself. But this can be said about pretty much any other social media personality.

His core message makes a ton of sense (society has feminized men and we need to return to our roots as men / women and men have some inherent differences beyond penis vs. vag), but he's also got some extreme takes that's on one hand made him popular but on the other hand is not really the best stuff to put out there

I don't get it, why would anyone get relationship advice from a guy who moved to Romania to evade a slew of human trafficking and rape charges?  That's like taking wealth management advice from Madoff.

Also, the dude is so fraudulent its unreal.  He has an operation where he cons men into sending camgirls thousands of dollars, and also has a multi-level-marketing scheme called "Hustlers University" where you pay shitloads of money for him to teach you to day trade crypto (and recruit your friends, too!)
