Evercore Private Capital Advisory SA 2021

The application closed last week but I was wondering if anyone had insight into recruiting for this group? Last I heard, first rounds should come out this week with a superday in early September.

Don't have any insights for this group, but the ECM first round was 2 1x1 30 minute interviews, 90% behavioral based 10% soft technicals, so if they share formats it shouldn't be that bad.

Analyst told me this year to expect a lot more techs based on the feedback they recieved

Very niche product group. It’s technically investment banking but not in a traditional sense - you won’t be working on M&As/LBOs...

Read up on secondaries and secondary deal types (fund restructurings, tender offers, stapled transactions...). Understand why investors are drawn to secondaries (J curve, IRR, risk/return profile...). Read up on fund valuations and Net Asset Value. Practice your technicals, specifically accounting, valuation, and maybe LBOs

Honestly I don’t think so. On the forum some people have been saying they were dinged / didn’t get an invite to the next round. Also it might make sense for them to do a first/second round without cutting, but there’s no way they would waste the time of their VPs on interviewing potential SAs who didn’t get a good rec from their first round. Do y’all know others in the process (aka do you go to a target) and if so did anyone get dinged?

I think it was already selective in the first round so superday was a pretty easy selection. Are both your superday interviews happening on the same day/different days?

One of the interviewers told me they will be getting back mid next week. Didn't do very well on the superday though so that might just be a rejection. I think offers should be out by early next week. Lmk if you guys hear anything back

Hey man - hope you're well. Would appreciate some insight into what to expect from the process. Could you send me a pm when you've got a chance?
