JP Morgan's Winning Women program is a one to two day program held at offices around the United States for different divisions of the firm. This is a great program that can pipeline you into a summer internship.
Winning Women Divisions & Locations
You can apply to as many winning women divisions / locations as you would like.
You can apply for as many Winning Women programs as you want, but you can only apply for up to 3 internship programs.
I applied to both locations. I just received a video interview invite for the one in Chicago.
JP Morgan Winning Women Video Interview
If your application is sucessful - you will be asked to complete a video interview. The format of this interview is 3 questions with 90 seconds to answer each question. You will receive 2 attempts for each question.
3 questions with 90 seconds to answer. It lets you watch each submission so you can decide if you want to redo it.
JP Morgan Winning Women Interview Questions
The questions were about leadership, how you stay up on the markets, and what unique experience or expertise can you bring to the team.
Sample Answer to "How Do You Stay Up on the Markets?"
"Well my interest in the markets first stemmed from finding connections between economic data and political news to the markets - so firstly I read the WSJ and NYT economics and political sections each week as well as the markets sections to keep up to date with market trends and data. Also - my school happens to have bloomberg terminals which I learned to use through the finance training program that my school offers. With the terminal, I follow the more niche quantitative data like the World Interest Rate Probabilities that I can't find through standard news sources."

Should we apply to the winning women AND the regular summer analyst program, or just one?
I would apply to both, at least that's what I did, and both applications are currently under review
Apply to both.
what is the maximum number of applications we can submit
You can apply for as many Winning Women programs as you want, but you can only apply for up to 3 internship programs

Did you end up getting video interviews for both?
yeah i got the video interview for both
hey have you done the video interview yet?
not yet, procrastinating on it til last minute because I absolutely dread these automated video interviews lol
Same lol I'm nervous
right?? idk what it is about these videos. I can interview in person easily. but I get so shaky and awkward doing these recorded things. if anyone has any advice on how to approach them that would be cool lol
you get 3 tries, AND you can watch your recording before moving on.
Did yours say that there are 4 questions and 2 attempts in the instructions to the Yello? In my email it said there were 3, now I'm kind of nervous. lol
I did the video interview yesterday. It was just 3 questions! Each had 2 attempts.
Does anyone know if we can apply to both locations or which one would be the most competitive?
I applied to both locations. I just received a video interview invite for the one in Chicago.
When did you guys apply?
I just got a video interview invitation. Given that I submitted my application on Tuesday, I am wondering if this is an automatic reply to everyone who applied.
Yeah, I just got an invite too. I think it might just be a general first round resume screen?
I just got the video interview email today as well. wondering if anyone knows what types of questions this will include. it says there's only 3
The questions was about leadership, how you stay up on the markets, and what unique experience or expertise can you bring to the team
.
You get a few tries! So timing really isn't too much of an issue. It feels a little awkward, but I would say after the number of tries it gives you, you have plenty of time to collect your thoughts.
can you take as much time in between the tries? or is it back to back
It only automatically starts the first time.
For example, you get the question, then after like 30 secs (or so, I can't remember since I was freaking out during this little time) it automatically records.
HOWEVER, after the first try, YOU get to press record so obviously you will have plenty time that is in your control. Plus, they also let you watch the recording, so it's honestly nothing to stress about.
You guys can feel free to PM if you have any questions or want more info!
Do you know if there is an additional round of interviewing AFTER the video interview or is this it?
I asked someone in HR today- this person didn't give a definite answer. He said that if successful, you may meet someone for an in person interview. This is kind of confusing because it doesn't make sense to have an in person interview, given that the winning women programme includes the in person interview. He may have meant phone interview.
Or he may have meant that this is the only round of interviews we will get. For the internship programmes (not winning women), it's resume scan--> pre recorded interview --> superday (maybe a phone call in between). I assume winning women will be similar so this might be the only interview. I will let you know if I get any updates from HR.
what did they ask you about? And we can take as much time as we need in between tries? Did you apply for Asset/wealth management?
Applied for asset/wealth management. asked the same questions as those described by WhitChantal. Yes, I believe you can take as much time after the first attempt. You can wait to click a button that allows you to move forward.
Are the responses timed? Is there a suggested length of time for each of the responses?
.
Did you receive the invitation for the video interview as soon as you submitted your application?
Is anyone else applying to NYC AM?
I applied to the NYC AM and Chicago. I dislike that I have to do the video interview twice since I applied to both.
were the questions you posted for JPM IB or only AM video interview
AM video interview
Were the IB questions the same as the AM?
does JPM review under a rolling basis?
this thread was a life saver
Did anyone run into some technical issues while filling out the application? Weirdly enough one of the mandatory fields (your placement preferences) doesn't have any options to choose from, but it's also mandatory to fill in so I can't move on to the next part of the application. Did any run into similar problems? How did you deal with it
does anyone know the questions for the IB winning women video interview? I dont think they would be the same as AM
@ziyuyan yeah, i ran into that same issue, so i just went ahead and turned it in. i wanted to check the other options but since it wouldnt let me i just let it go
How were you able to continue onto the next page? I clicked continue and it wouldn't let me move on without filling out that field.
I had already answered the question before so my previous answers saved.
Do you guys think CIB's Winning Women will give video interview? I thought they just review our resume and essay..
yes video interviews for winning women CIB were handed out
Then what kind of questions did you get for CIB?
Submitted my video answers yesterday for AM NYC, anyone know if it'll be on a rolling basis? The event is in one month so it should be pretty quick.
What kind of questions did they ask?
Pretty much the same as mentioned above, 3 questions with 90 seconds to answer. I was nervous going in but it really wasn't bad. It lets you watch each submission so you can decide if you want to redo it.
Same as the questions WhitChantal posted for AM? even for CIB?
I don't know if for CIB because mine were for AM
i applied to the winning women and i got an email two weeks later to do a video interview, also applied for summer analyst and the next day got the same video interview
does anyone encounter the issue for AM where you filled out page 1 and then click "continue," but goes to a page that says "You've entered in all necessary information. Are you sure you want to submit your application?" I don't know if I should proceed with this, since I haven't uploaded my resume and cover letter yet.
hey guys, i just submitted my apps for Winning women; is it too late at this stage? i legit didn't know there was the video portion. will they even consider my application on time for the 15th deadline? thanks :(
Just submitted mine too. I think you'll be fine. If you submitted everything they told you to submit in time I don't see how they could not consider your app. Kind of hoping at this stage maybe we don't have to do video :-) lol wishful thinking maybe
i asked an upperclassmen friend (so take this with a grain of salt) but apparently if they want you they'll tell you in about 3 days and request you do a video thingy...so at least well still have like a day to do the video interviews i guess.
Got an invite for video interview today. Going to do it tomorrow!
Three days seems a little short to be the case for everyone. There was a two week time before my app submission and my vid interview. After speaking to a few hr people, they were very vague as to whether they even screen your app at all before giving you Hirevue. JPM might just give it to everyone? Since on the app, it clearly starts, that after a phone/vid screen, selection occurs. So it kind of implies everyone gets the hirevue.
Also, I didn't even submit a cover letter so maybe they don't even look that thoroughly at apps.
my interviews for winning women and the regular summer internship programme were given around 3-4 days after submission.
.
It will come in an email and then you have to do the interview on yello. Im also thinking maybe there are certain dates where they send out invites.
Side-by-side comparison of top modeling training courses + exclusive discount through WSO here.
Does anybody know if the video questions for winning women CIB will be similar to the video questions for CIB summer analyst position?
Yeah, anyone have any insight on CIB? Thanks!
Format will be the same. I did AM, but you can always report back to help others and ppl in the future :)
@Luckyspade" Did you complete your video interview yet? Can you confirm the answer to your question?
if the portal says "application completed" does that mean they haven't seen my app yet?
.
Once you get a video invite it will say in review
thanks! i turned in my app on the 5th and haven't gotten anything back yet so im a lil worried.
i'm from non-target tho
Well best of luck! I'm in the same boat too!
Also from a non target/semi target- current status of my school is unknown- I'm sure you'll get it soon!
When I go to do the interview, it says that it is 4 questions and we only have 2 attempts to answer each question. Did it say that for anyone else's? In my email it said it was only 3 questions.
me too!!
I went ahead and took it and there were only 3 questions / 3 attempts on the actual interview. The instructions are just wrong I think!
yeah haha i was relieved! esp. when we ended up having three tries. good luck!
Did anyone else apply to both the Winning Women program and the CIB analyst internship program but only get a video invite for the Winning Women program?
Same thing happened to me.
I just realized that the invite for the CIB internship went to my spam folder...I would check yours! Unfortunately it was due yesterday but the portal to submit the video interview is still open so I'm going to do it ASAP today
Mine isn't in there, and the only invitation I have on the website is the Winning Women one. A little weird - maybe I got dinged on the regular SA? I guess going through Winning Women would probably give me a better shot anyways. Oh well haha. Thanks for the reply!
If you dont mind me asking, what kind of question did you get for CIB?
.
you also get plenty of time to redo/practice during the session. you're not on a timer when you're watching your first attempt so you can literally practice what you will say as many times as you want and take as much time to move on to the next attempt. it's really not high pressure at all
got two video invites
just got my video invite for AWM. anyone else do the interview and can confirm that the 3 interview questions above are what were asked?
Just got my video invite for AM as well! applied yesterday and then received email for video interview today, how long do we have to do the video interview (i.e. should complete in day or so?)
we have 3 days
do you guys know when JPM will hand out offers?
I was wondering the same thing. It should be soon right? One of the events is on the 15th!
I applied today. Is that too late? The website says the deadline is Tuesday. Why would they make it Tuesday if it's much earlier?
Does anyone have any insight into the questions for winning women CIB video interview? Are they similar to the regular internship app video interview?
i submitted my video today. fingers crossed for good news!
good luck! I'm going to submit mine in a few hours (I'm in a different time zone) do u think if its before the end of the 14th its ok?
Good Luck! I havent received the interview email yet..Do you mind giving a few insights into the questions for that video interview? I applied for the CIB one; super nervous right now..
Did you receive the email for the video interview?
hey! i only applied for the two AM ones, I'm not a junior so i can't do the CIB. hope it went well tho!
does it matter if you don't put in your personal email address? I just realized that I accidentally put in my school email twice.
anyone apply to the commercial banking program lmfao
Could anyone mention the questions they were asked for the investment banking division?
I'm still sending in my resume/application, haha. The essay is taking me longer than expected.
What did you guys talk about?
which program did you apply for?
"2018 Corporate & Investment Bank Winning Women Undergraduate Fall Experience & Interviews" is the one I'm applying to!
ah i see, IB. good luck! i applied for AWM so not sure what the IB essay is about
Did anyone else who applied for CIB get a video interview for the regular CIB app but not for winning women?
I applied for the CIB-Winning Women but not the regular one; I havent received the video interview email yet. I'm doubting if CIB-Winning Women has video interview...
It does. If you applied at two different times maybe your video invites are in two different "waves"
Oh! Thank you for the information! Did you get it? how was it? Would you mind giving some insights about those questions?
Were the questions for the CIB the same as AWM?
Never mind, just got the video invite for Winning Women. Yayyyy I get to record myself again
Would you mind sharing insights about the question after you finished it? I was just wondering the type of those questions (leadership?/teamwork? etc) Thanks!!
I applied for Winning Women CIB about 6 hours before the deadline, and I got the video interview about 30 minutes ago. Does anyone have a clue as to how selective their Winning Women program is? as in how many people apply versus get it
Do you guys think its easier to get the winning women for NON IB related services? FOr the CIB APP i put down global treasury services and risk.
Do AWM and CIB have same questions for recorded video interview?
Thanks in advance!
when do you think decisions will come out? given that the event is early september
on the website it said some are due sept 13-anyone know why some were due august 15 and some later?
There's two winning women's events, one in September and one in October. I think certain divisions are only on certain dates, those that go in October have a later due date.
Could those who did the CIB winning women's video interview please confirm if the questions were technical or behavioral? How similar were they to the regular CIB app questions?
.
.
I spoke to a girl who did Winning Women a few years ago- she said her interview process was way different than ours right now, and at the event there were about 50 girls for the superday. Good luck to us all!!
how do they choose for superday?
I believe it might only be this video interview! I'm getting the impression that since video interviews are due Aug 23rd latest, they might not have time for phone interviews so they select based on resume, essay, and the Hirevue.
this seems to be correct- asked someone in hr recently
oh i was referencing the super day that occurs like during the winning women conference for the SA position
Does anyone know when we will find out who is accepted? will it be by phone or email?
that's the million dollar question
deleted since you guys don't believe me
Where did you get this info from?
Video have started being viewed, if you have a friend in hr or an analyst, they could have told you the decision for you already. Not sure why the ms? Lol, I shouldn't have said anything.
Oh I see huh. lol i didn't give you a ms so i guess it's other people
who reviews the applications? surely not random analysts? :o
By some- how many are we talking here that you've heard of
Does anyone know if you're only allowed to attend one of the two AM events?
.
.
Has anyone actually hear back regarding this yet? The superday is rather soon.
Not yet...are you referring to AM in NYC? Is that the earliest WW event?
Yes I believe AM NYC is the earliest WW event. It's Sept 7/8 from what I remember
Just submitted my AM video interview! I hope we all hear back soon!
When was your video due? We'll probably hear back a week or two after the video deadline...I know last year people heard back exactly a week before
My video was due today because I applied the day before the deadline. Oh ok well I'll just keep those days open then just in case
Did you also have the same questions as posted above?
Yup same as above!
.
can't speak for AM, but i submitted my video august 10 for CIB, and spoke to a recruiter yesterday that said we should hear back in the next two weeks
Thank you!!!
Thanks! When's your CIB event?
they're either sept 22 & 23 and/or sept 29 & 30!
Ah okay. The earliest AM is 9/7 so hopefully we hear back soon too
yeah AM is literally in 2.5 week so.. hopefully we'll hear by the end of this week or next week?
are you supposed to get a confirmation email after submitting the responses? I really hope I didn't submit them late ;(
i didn't get any confirmation email when i submitted 2 videos
I got different questions than the ones that had been posted from both the CIB and AM above. I applied for CIB and got one of the questions previously listed for AM, one from the CIB list, and a slightly different one about JPM? Did anyone else have the same experience?
Hey I have a really small question; i heard someone said JPM's winning women program won't recruit international students; is this true? I'm a little worried ;(
Under eligibility, it says "All candidates must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S." If you're unable to, there are also international insight programs!
Thank you! I do have authorization work permanently in the US. Just feel worried
Ah I see...so I guess technically you're eligible. I just wonder if they'll pay for international flights haha
.
Not for all winning women programs.
so at the end of the 2 day networking session, is there a superday or how does it work?
Yeah so the first day is networking and the second day is superday
Did u hear back?
No I haven't. It's just what I remember from the job posting
does anyone remember the exact date of the event?
.
for those who have submitted video for AM/WM does your application status say In Review or something like First Round?
In review. Does anyone's say anything different?
mine says in review too, tho i've heard they accept you a week before the event so I'm still waiting!
Same. I noticed that the "Withdraw" button has disappeared underneath each application though (this was a recent change, too), so I'm guessing they're moving along with the process now
I still have the "withdraw" button. Anyone else?
I have it too :(
I'm sure it's fine...at first mine disappeared too but it was just a glitch and then it reappeared again
My withdraw button disappeared too, though I think this may occur at different times for people. Perhaps they are reviewing the apps in waves.
Mine also says in review
mine also says in review- i'll contact someone in hr tomorrow
I just checked -- mine says "Interview - 1st Round" but I have not received any email or phone call after completing the video questions
Is this for AM or CIB?
Mine is for AM!
Did yours always say that or did it just change? And is it for the NY event?
When did you submit your video interview?
Same. Does anyone know when they will let us know? I assumed they would give us two weeks notice to the program.
.
Mine too. :/
I just got my invite for AM program! It says first round interviews though. Thought it was a super day second day.
Congrats!! Is it for NY? Has anyone else heard back?
NY or Chicago?
Congrats! Does that mean there's a first round phone interview or is that referring to the superday?
I got it for NYC! That is referring to the actual event - it says first rounds are at the event. Not sure what type of interviews they would have us for after already doing all the interviews in person though. Did anyone else hear anything?
Did you get any emails?
Yes I got an email today that said "JP Morgan invites you..."
Congrats! Mine still says in review but I didn't send in my video interview til the 20th.
Thank you!! Yes I sent mine in earlier on the 11th so don't worry too much!
update- I asked someone in HR today- everyone should start to hear back by the 28th.
.
sorry for the mistake! I corrected it- august 28th.
.
Update update-- everyone should ~start~ to hear back on Thursday
.
Reconfirmed with someone in HR- this person first said monday, then another HR member said Thursday
