Big State school 2.9 GPA -> MSF top 10 program -> shitty unpaid IB internship-> a little less shitty unpaid IB internship -> 15ish interviews -> 1 offer
How did you get into Vandy with that GPA? (congrats btw!)
Also, did you go straight out of UG?
Who in the industry are you related to?

is it a premier middle market like Raymond James, Houlihan, Blair level or more of a lower middle market? just curious
what was your MSF app process like and how were you able to explain your GPA?
Applied to 1 program and was accepted. I’m going to keep it a buck with you; the vast majority of these specialized finance programs would accept a guy with 3 years experience at McDonalds drive thru and a bachelors degree from the University of Phoenix. Except for the top notch quantitative finance programs at schools like MIT, Penn, Harvard etc. (I went to target but not one of the 3 above.)
So, shoot your shot and apply if you’re curious. No downside in doing so.
