Based on the most helpful WSO content, here’s what you need to know about BofA HireVue logistics and questions:

  1. Logistics:

    • Prep Time: Typically, you get around 30 seconds to prepare for each question.
    • Answer Time: You usually have 90 seconds to respond to each question.
    • Retakes: Some BofA HireVues allow no retries, so you need to be well-prepared to answer on the first attempt.
  2. Question Types:

    • Behavioral Questions: These are common and may include:
      • "Tell us about yourself and why BofA."
      • "Key accomplishment that illustrated your personal initiative and drive."
      • "Tell us about a time you quickly learned a new skill or adapted to a new situation."
    • Market/Technical Questions: Occasionally, you might encounter questions like:
      • "Tell us about a major event and how it has impacted markets."
  3. Tips:

    • Practice answering behavioral questions concisely and confidently.
    • Be prepared to discuss your resume and motivations for applying.
    • Stay updated on recent market events in case a market-related question arises.

Good luck with your preparation!

It's not even a real HireVue just asks you what you're likely to do in different situations (not a video interview, literally just most like me or not like me type questions)

Not true there is still a hirevue it’s after you complete the virtual assessment not everyone is invited to complete the hirevue

I just did it and it's nothing u needa prep for, just questions on what you would do in a certain situation and then which traits describe you best; they say afterwards the second round will prob be some kind of video or phone interview
"If you're selected to move forward in the selection process, you may be invited to a video interview, or a member of Bank of America Talent Acquisition team will contact you."

What about for the online assessment? Do I have to do anything to prepare for it? Like brush up on mental math and such?

I got the invitation for the on demand video hirevue Thursday this week. It was 3 questions with 30 second prep time and 3 minutes to answer. No retakes

To those who finished filling up the preference form, did you guys receive a confirmation email saying that you've submitted it, and how soon did you guys receive an interview offer?
