Private Capital Advisory - Exit opps, Pay, Top Banks

Hi everyone, I would love to learn more about the exit opps, pay, and top banks in PCA. It seems like quite an interesting place to be.

Look forward to your responses - thank you.

No.1 is by far Evercore. They have insane deal flow but that means they also have insanely long hours. They have high turnover at the junior level because they all quit after 1-2 years due to the burnout.

I also heard the Secondary Advisory team (Private Capital Advisory) at Evercore is their highest paid team that earn more than their M&A teams.

Curious to hear about whether it would be smart to start a career in this area? I'm not sure whether I want to do PE or HF or such down the line yet.

I heard PCA is a good space and in a growing market. Looks like comp is solid at many firms, but what are hours like? Is it the same workload as IB causing people to quit, or because the work isn’t interesting?
