Firm stopped allowing Uber blacks recently and I am looking to lateral to a firm that allows Uber blacks. It’s the sole reason I am leaving. At a good shop, but imagine pulling a 3AM and having to get carsick on your way home with a sketchy guy in a smelly car who’s blasting Akon.
I know this sounds ridiculous but it’s true and Uber has no standards in NY.

PE shop I'm at doesn't have comped Ubers or food.

My man, the pro-tip here is to order only Electric Comforts if your firm won’t let you order Uber Blacks. Guaranteed to be at least a Tesla (usually a Y, S or X) and half the time the same type of ride you’d receive anyways since Teslas count as a Uber Black anyways.
Plus, you can claim you’re doing your part as part of the ESG movement to ‘help the planet’ 😉

you're the problem. i live in the office to minimize commute times, which i then leveraged to further create shareholder value
Try Uber comfort instead
I feel like uber has no standards everywhere. Especially here in Houston. If you order an X it's guaranteed you'll get a pungent car with stained seats and the driver asking how much you pay for rent once you pull up to the apartment.
This might be one of the funniest yet truest things about Houston
