Stout Risius Ross (SRR)
What's their IB reputation? I know there are pre existing threads but nothing too comprehensive. Just looking for some opinions.
Thanks

Stout Risius & Ross Valuation will be holding its superday for its Valuation Advisory group this Friday at a number of locations. A quick google scan told me I can expect a written and finance/accounting exam as a part of the Superday. Has anyone here interviewed at the firm and have any idea on what to expect? Am I fine studying the guides or should I expect things like pro forma statements?

Does anyone know anything about Stout Risius and Ross, specifically their Chicago office? Any info on reputation, culture, hours, etc... would be greatly appreciated.
I am completely unfamiliar with this firm, but an opportunity has been passed along to me and I'm wondering if it's worth persuing.
Just attended a career fair and had the 'pleasure' of speaking with one of their guys. He was probably the least helpful person I have talked to at a career fair. One word responses, and I could tell he 1) Was not thrilled to be talking about SRR 2) Was not thrilled about being at a career fair. No matter how annoying career fairs are, most of the time emplyers will put a fake smile on to attract candidates. This guy, nothing. This is along the lines of how the convo went:
Q: So would you say that SRR provides an open door policy, one in which I can work among both junior and senior level bankers? A: Yeah Q: ..... okay, so it's a pretty collegial environment? A: For the most part Q: ..... Would I be able to take on a lot of responsibilities at the beginning of my career, and will I feel like I add value to transactions? A: Yeah
Yeah? thats it? Thanks man... Needless to say I didnt submit my application to them for interviews... What a tool
