I don't know if GS will touch you after they see the word boutique on your resume. I'm pretty sure they shun anything not BB and usually they only accept kids with at least 3 to 4 internships at a BB. Also to intern at GS you have to have at least 7 arms, type three million wpm, be able to value any fortune 500 company in a minute flat (without using a computer, just a financial calculator) and still look like you were personally dressed by a top name designer (tommy hilfiger need not apply). all in all, pretty reasonable expectations

you guys are just jealous

but thanks for the responses, it shows that i'm a lot better than you guys and i'm too set for goldman.

i mean from the sound of the replies, it sounds like you guys are very jealous of me so i know i'm in good shape, not to boast.

Feel free to point out specific comments/sentences that evidence jealousy on our part. Personally I was just having fun with this whole phenomenon of getting a job at Goldman being put on par with say getting to be the next Jesus or getting to sleep with eva longoria (if it was actually as important as the latter, i'd be kissing a lot more ass and studying a whole lot more). Though after your replies I wish I'd ridiculed you instead.

this is an example of jealousy, you wish you're qualified like me and you aren't, instead you just try to ridcule me.

It's what happens when you're a ridiculous idiot

imkeennot really, i'm used to people being jealous at me growing up 'cause im too smart and qualified, Morgan made an offer for the upcoming SA, but i rejected because I dont think Morgan is good enough. now i just need a job at GS IBD.

Morgan's summer SA program isn't even over yet

when you're so qualified, it's easy to squeeze say a 12 week program into 6. I mean, you're just wasting your time and theirs when your brain is almost as large as your ego, right?

I am really hot lol, I used to be a model....but I am also really smart!!!!! And comfortable in my own skin! It's NOT just about how good you look on paper, it's also how you PRESENT yourself.

lol, exactly right.

clearly this person is messing around. he or she writes like a 14-year old meth-addicted Thai prostitute, not someone with a 3.95 at wharton. c'mon people.

uh please, what kind of school is wake forest with 3.65 MAJOR gpa, that's just weak as hell.

Seriously, if you have such credentials then you should know that you are a topper at an uber-target school with excellent ib related experience. Why would you ask if you have a chance? Ofcourse you stand a chance! I would just work on the interpersonal skills for your sake.

he/she's prolly bluffing and amusing himself...

if not, sorry but I don't think u to begin should have been hired by morgan in the first place with your near zero self esteem- sorry but self doubt is not one of the qualities of a banker

I have great interpersonal skill with people at or above my level of credential. Since i'm superior than most of the board members, I don't need to bother listening to useless advices. I'm specifically targeting GS ibankers that have good credentials not a bunch of people who come from non-targets such as Wake Forest (wtf is that??) giving me worthless advice. Thank you.

You don't need to call me an ass, I know I'm am. You don't need to assure me anything because you're not qualified to assure me. I need people with valid credential to give me a good advice.

have great interpersonal skill with people at or above my level of credential, since i'm superior than most of the board members then it really doesn't work.

Holy Crap! What if the person interviewing you comes from shudder a NON-TARGET. He obviously won't be able to match your vast credentials right? Dude it's good to be confident but theres a fine line between that and cocky. And judging from your initial post I don't even think you have much confidence either. And what more advice could you really even get? You have the grades, you have the experience, the only other thing you can do is prepare for the interviews and network.

But more seriously, just chill out, you are taking the mocks a little to seriously (although they are well deserved).

i have humility toward those who i think deserve humility not people who go to wtf schools giving me worthless advices. there's no criticism is this forum but posts full of jealousy.

and what in your lousy contorted mind makes u think I go to a "wtf school?"

and for the records...no school is a "wtf school" in my personal lexicon

-if i were u, I'd leave my huge ego outside the door before my gs int. -if you can hide those nasty qualities in your interview with GS then yes you do have a good chance

2 great pieces of advice right there.

I don't get your elitist attitude man, you post a topic looking for advice and then ridicule people who are posting because of the school they go to. WEAK! Although the advice given to you is harsh, you can still benefit by following it. I stillthink w/ your credentials you are def a shoe-in for a GS IBD summer internship...only problem is getting your big head through the front door.

ok, let me repeat: look at the uselessness of the advices that were given and thinking that this was a joke. This is pretty much due to jealousy and their inability to reach that success since they're just not qualified to make comments about my chances in IBD in GS when they probably can't get interviews anywhere.

ponzipeople, WTF?! have you never heard of trolls? just ignore the douche, for all we know it could be dan bush again. this is not a serious or legitimate post.

could a mod please ban imkeen?

look at yourself, you're just a prospective wannabe ibanker, please don't tell anybody to ban ME when i'm superior than you are.

hey buddy. sounds like you've got great creds to make a good case for it. however, seeing how you've riled some people up on this board, i just wanted to point something out. if you really do have those creds, don't you think it's a little silly to be telling people in this forum who you are? it's actually really easy to spot people in resume books etc. since alot of people here are either FT analysts, associates, recruiters, even summers who go to your school or rival schools. the street is a small place. if you do have that profile (wharton, 3.95, ms soph rotation, with boutique experience freshman summer) someone here could pick you out of a book -- you might be surprised that no one else has the same experiences you've had. however, if you're just playing and giving us a hypothetical situation, then you're wasting alot of people's time and pissing people off for no reason with your arrogance.

if this was all made up, then good luck with your apps.

go ahead and try, I don't think people here would ever get into MS anyway. why should people be pissed off at my so-called arrogance? I am superior, that's a fact, accept it or not. Don't be pissed, so study some more and hopefully you guys can get an interview.

this is hilarious. i have a good buddy working at GS who's going back to Penn to recruit. told him to keep an eye for someone with the work experience as imkeen...LOL, this should be funny!

Imkeen's profile is a joke, if you actually click his (her?) name for their stats.

Imkeen, nobody cares. They aren't jealous. They were trying to give you advice and that's it. Take it or leave it. What are you looking for? A pat on the back?

And I still got a job at a great firm.

I think you know exactly what I mean when I say great firm.

Also, looks aren't everything either. Just being hot doesn't do anything to help me keep my job when I'm not doing something face to face with clients. Do they help? Yes, of course. Are they the key to success? No.

honestly, i'd rather be a hot model than a douchebag with insecurities/douchebag spending all day trolling a forum at least she can get laid...you have fun with your 3.95 and a bucket of lube

if you guys are going to make fun of me, at least be creative. I honestly don't even try that hard in school, I'm just naturally talented smart and no i dont believe you work for my definition of a "great" firm.

and why should anybody ban me when i've done no harm to anybody but reveal my superiority? sure people bash on non-targets all the time so why can't I?

think about it, use your brain a little then you guys might have a microscopic chance make a defense for your ridiculous gpa and school.

why can't anyone see that this guy writes like an idiot??? i think chelseafc mentioned it before, but holy shit. seriously, read his/her posts carefully and you'll see this is a troll.
