Might be a dumb question but does "Recruiting Year" refer to the year in which the internship takes place? It's asked under the Position Preference section.

GS stopped requiring them because they don't even read them

No. GS is pretty selective with giving Hirevues because the process is Hirevue-> Superday

Is it true GS hirevue's are more situational (i.e. they describe a situation and you respond what you would do in that situation) rather than behavioral (tell me about a time .... etc)? Are they looking for common sense situation answers or creative ones?

Thanks for the reply. Do you know how GS hirevue's are screened? Is it true that 1 analyst views it and 1 HR person views it and ranks it? Or is it merely a screener where most common sense answers proceed to a superday?

someone on another thread claims to have gotten a IBD NY hirevue invite last Friday. Not sure if he's lying or not. Has anyone else gotten it?

did anybody got an email from the Campus Recruitment team thanking you for attending to an event at 4:30am?

Yes. Does anyone have any insight into who grades these. I have heard campus recruitment team and I have also heard that they float around each group and they decide.

Also, how many applicants get to the hirevue stage?

I submitted two apps and got two hirevues. Is it worth sending in both?

I received a NY IBD hirevue and I applied to NYC IBD, SF IBD, & NY MBD. Anyone know if this counts for all 3. It says, "Please be prepared to answer questions related to the specific division(s) to which you applied but note this invitation is for IBD New York"?

someone on my school's team there said hirevues for sophs aren't likely til first round of junior recruiting is finished ... so likely sometime in august

Just checked my status on the Goldman applications page. My NYC IBD says "application under review" and I did not get an email regarding hirevues. I have talked to a few alums from my school who are MDs and partners and they said that I shouldn't be too worried. But I am very worried, are hirevues still coming out?

Did anyone's portal change to selected for superday but didn't get the email? Mine did not, I'm just asking to see if they update your portal first or if they send the email first

Do they have separate interviews for financing and classic groups?

Anyone have insight into the Chicago office? Hirvues were due on Monday

I applied the week after and already went through superday

Anyone have insight based on their experience about how perfect the HireVue needs to be to land a superday? My voice cracked really bad in the middle of the first question and I can’t stop thinking about it.

Have any rising sophomores (class of 2023) gotten a hirevue for NYC IBD yet?

Are Hirevue's only out for NYC or got other office also? I networked heavily with a couple offices and attended Insight Day for one of them, but still haven't gotten a Hirevue from that office.

I heard of quite a few different timeslots... so yikes. Wonder how many offers are left

how many time slots were there in your opinion? Mine had 3 including myself

any idea if there will be additional Hirevue at this time? Campus recruiter said there will be additional SD scheduled but haven't received hirevue yet... (target, app still says under review)
