Career Resources
wow...crazy list...but if thats what it takes to get in....
Wait for it......
"I just ordered all of those books on Amazon. Where do I send my application? I am a highly motivated undergrad seeking to make it rain"
I've seen that list floating around, nice to see it hyperlinked to Amazon.
I wonder how much it would cost to purchase all of these
Yeah, I saw it earlier on Quantnet. I just printed it out and will use it as a base for future reading.
Here's another awesome reading list: http://tinyurl.com/3yo2p2s
that is quite a list....
There goes my summer & winter break.
seems quite superfluous
Will probably spend winter break reading a few
Percent of Goldman employees who have read more than 7 of these...ohhhh...3%.
Wonder why Jim Cramer's book isn't on the list of former Goldman Sachs employees but it's in another section.
Frankly, I had read 80% of those books before I entered college.
:-( The list is almost the entire Amazon - business list :)
I've read a decent amount of books listed in there, and I have to say, if any Goldman people internally have read more than half of those books, they probably aren't in investment banking any longer -- and running their own fund, or better yet, enjoying life and watching animal spirits tear eachother apart via capitalism
Are there more lists floating around from other companies such as McKinsey?
I've got one from Barton Biggs: http://www0.gsb.columbia.edu/students/organizations/cima/files/barton_b…
Cool, thanks. Anyone else got something?
Very interesting lists which I'll definitely write down for the future. Would be interested to see if anyone had anything else.
That's really interesting. Saw a JPM list on here a few months ago (for SAs).
Interesting how "The Big Short" is conveniently left off that list.
Sweet, now I have some extra reading. Thanks
I think you are referring to this one?
http://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forums/jamie-dimons-reading-list
but seriously: No one knows or has a McKinsey suggested reading list? Is this a joke or are all the McK's in here just not interested in given info out?

Where does this list originate from? And is it group specific? I can't imagine that the firm would want every HR temp to absorb the equivalent of a four year degree's worth of reading.
Good list though, I'm going to pick some of them up, I'm always looking for something for my mind to chew on.
This list from Goldman Sachs careers. This list is not for any specific group. I have divided them up into different groups. Feel free to check out my related post.

Nice list, I saw Morgan Stanley has a reading list like this as well. I am very high on The Complete CFO Handbook: From Accounting to Accountability by Fabozzi, great for review from time to time
Surprisingly it looks like GS and I have most of these in common.
I liked "A Random Walk Down Wall Street."
Don't know why it reminded me of this, but ... I much prefer "The Midday Stroll"
