There's a deal on Groupon similar to the Indochino deal that was posted here a few weeks ago. It's for a custom suit and shirt from Knot Standard. Anyone heard anything about these? Seems like a good deal.

I've heard about them. Knot
I've heard about them. Knot standard seems to have a better rep than indochino on styleforum.

If not in NYC, would you send in measurements or have to pass on deal?
If the glove don't fit, you must acquit!

Before you buy anything, actually read what is written in that thread and the thread that one of the forum users links to.
The guy that created the post looks to be a rep of the company...or something of the sort. He misspells Indochino a number of times and then plugs Knot's website. In addition, if you follow the link that is provided, you will see that just a couple days before he writes a great review about them, he is asking if anyone has heard of them, etc.
I would be a bit weary. As the Style Forum members pointed out, the suits don't lay right on the pictures and there is no mention of quality, only color. It might still be a decent option, but I just wanted to point out that the rave review might not be legit.
Here is the second thread from the 'rave' reviewer...

when you say custom, do you
when you say custom, do you mean bespoke? if it is bespoke and not over a few grand, I honestly wouldn't risk it. there is a reason why bespoke is so expensive and anything less than the average seems suspect to me.

You can't get bespoke online, companies like Indochino are made to measure.

Just wondering, that's why I thought it seemed like a scam or something. Realize bespoke is not online, but idk how many people can distinguish made to measure from bespoke.

I was going to order some
I was going to order some additional shirts from knot standard since I bought my suit and stumbled upon this and figured i would comment. It seems all who are reviewing have not tried a piece made by this company. Material is great and the fit is professional, and yes it's cut from the cloth ( bespoke). Go buy your average $100 dollar shirt from retailers and overpay and look like a slob. These are the best fitting clothes I have because that are made for me. Plus it's risk free 100% money back guarantee and $75 dollars for alterations. Trust me you will feel professional knowing that your threads fit. It's a good buy.
Well guys I dont think you
Well guys I dont think you can look over the possibility that the stylo guy is actually writing in for the Knots I mean seriously these things are getting so complicated these days that I would always prefer to go with ebay and amazon and not get any deals at all :)

Eh. A good tailor is absolutely priceless. Stick with a regular suit until you can get a bespoke one from Saville Row.
I just received the classic
I just received the classic Navy suit I ordered from these guys a couple days ago (took just under 3 weeks to arrive). I had my brother measure me using their website instructions. Also went with the $500 line vs. the more expensive $695 because it said they were more durable. The thing fits absolutely perfect. It’s my 3rd suit – the 1st I got in college off the rack (cost ~$400) and the 2nd was a graduation present from my parents where I went to a tailor (cost ~$900). In terms of price / quality, I don’t think you can beat this but I’m sure others on WSO have their own opinions about if it’s “truly” bespoke, etc. like above. Regardless, I think what I got is pretty sick.
by definition it's not
by definition it's not bespoke....they never claim to be it's online mtm
