Millennium London grad programme with UBS
Any insights on Millennium’s equities analyst programme with UBS? Where you do a year of sellside ER at UBS then join a pod at millennium.
Would be greatful for any insights at all - comp, recruitment process, conversion after the two year programme etc
Recruitment process is competitive - run by Dartmouth last year. Around 7 interviews, first three with DP, as far as I can remember. Seems to be run in-house this year though. Get comfortable with a rigorous knowledge of public equities, all the usual technicals etc - AFAIK there weren't many seats open last year. There's been an emphasis at MLP over past year or so to develop more of their FO talent pipeline in house (lagged considerably behind rivals like P72 etc), quant research stream opened for the first time last year placing MSc level candidates directly in trading teams.
4 seats, the recruitment process is similar to other shops, with a case study round and analyst/PM interviews towards the end.
Would be comfortable with the usual equities/finance interview questions + quant-style brainteasers and mental maths.
