Houston done with first round superdays/offers, and now doing the rest I think. Not sure if that is helpful, as tx goes super early compared to NY.

heard something like this too  --  they put out the app super early but are basically on the same timeline from last year

Yep, was told from an associate that hirevues won't come out for at least another 2 weeks.

Hirevues are selective. It's essentially a first round, and BofA in particular watches them and takes them seriously (versus MS, for instance). 15 minutes estimate. Not to say that a referral won't carry over past this stage (especially from seniors)

Had my spd the other day, weird that I still haven’t heard back. Was basically told getting the offer (fingers crossed), but sh***ing myself. Prepped my ass off for the techs, a bunch of stuff not in the guides, like R&P level stuff. I used Careerscend but idk what others do. Best of luck to everyone.

Anyone heard back after sf hirevue? Is spd out?

What group are you talking about? And when was your HV invite sent?

Can anyone shed light on the timelines for non-div semi-target students? seems like first wave has happened - when will the next one be sent out?

Have a MM offer and managed to accelerate my superday through a contact - can anyone share their SD experience / what to expect?

Not OP, but I interned at BofA last summer and am returning FT.

First thing - your SD varies by location. I’m talking about NYC, but if you’re interviewing for Palo Alto (tech-focused), LA, or another office, expect more specialized questions.

For NYC, my SD was 4 back-to-back interviews, a mix of behaviorals and technicals. The technicals were definitely more relaxed than EVR/PJT, but because of that, the margin for error is lower - you need to be spot-on.

For technical prep, I used 400Q Guide and Capital Interview Experts and thought they were more than enough.

Example Q from CIE - If a company decides to depreciate it by $15 in its government filings but $10 on its own books, what happens to the 3 statements? (Assume 20% tax rate)

Ans: Creates a Deferred Tax Liability because the accelerated depreciation reduces the taxes payable

IS: Depreciation -10, Tax -2. Thus, Net Income -8
CFS: Net Income -8, Depreciation +10, DTL +1. Thus, NCF +3
BS: Cash +3, PP&E -10, DTL +1, R/E -8. Thus, assets down by $7 and liabilities & shareholder's equity down by $7 so both sides balance.

One unexpected behavioral I got was "Talk to me about a deal that you don't think was a good idea and walk me through your thought process"

Definitely make sure you are 100% prepped and best of luck!

Had a strong connection who is an associate - sent them an email and I believe they put in a word in with HR. If you don't have a contact would recommend directly emailing HR and explicitly mentioning your offer deadline and how BofA is your top choice
