What is the current view on SMBC in the US? In terms of exit opps, comp, etc.

Sorry to be off topic but does anyone know how strong their LevFin division is? Do they have a FS group that models or do they actually model? I am specifically interested in their London office but I guess there's not much difference from the US. It sounds like an interesting place to be after their acquisition of GE Capital's EMEA leveraged finance portfolio

So I’m assuming nothing else is coming today. Anyone hearing anything back from the 10/15 SD or are we all doomed to a lifetime of pumping gas lol?

Thanks! Nope, SA. I think their full time recruiting doesn’t really kick off till this is done so I imagine offers won’t go out till November/December.

Did HR call you for offer or just an email? I had my superday two weeks ago. Missed HR's call on Friday, hope that's a good sign

HR called and then sent an email immediately after with the actual offer. Probably a good sign!

Did all the Structured Debt teams have their superday for SA or just some?

A lot of times for superdays they'll give out an offer within a day or two. Because of the virtual interview environment though, I think they're doing interviews throughout the week instead of all in one day so it might take longer to hear back (at least from what I've heard).

This probably doesn’t add much but had FT super day  for FIG (about a week or so ago) and haven’t heard anything yet.

Had FT interview for the LevFin group last week as well and haven't heard back either

I talked to my contact in a group and I got rejected. They only took one intern and the person participated in a prior program/internship with them. Good luck everyone in other groups tho.

I got the offer for PF LATAM, not sure if anyone else here did as well?

Just wondering, has anyone actually gotten an offer from them? I seems like everyone who heard back from this week didn't get in.

They had 75 spots for interns and most offers were extended. I was on the waitlist until the candidate accepted.
