Some MM banks have released their apps but most will be towards the end of the summer into fall because they will know how many spots are open on each team after return offers are given to interns. At least that is what I have been told.

Some advice for you guys as somehow who just started:

(1) don’t send emails to ppl who JUST started. We are all still in training. We can’t forward your resume or introduce you to the team when we haven’t even met the team ourselves. We r literally still trying to figure out how to set up our laptops *caveat being if the new hire also lateraled then they might be able to explain u their process & u can try to replicate

(2) when you do send an email make it at least a little personalized. of the emails I’ve gotten they are all very effusive in how grateful they would be to chat with me but the personalization is limited to just the subject line (‘[College I went to] Student - Chat Request’) & the body of the email can be very easily copy pasted

Yes I applied to NYC & Charlotte but only received my group preference for Charlotte so idk

Anyone know good resources for practice questions? Haven't brushed up in a long time and really want to get up to speed quick. What is everyone else practicing with? Know that WSO has bank specific questions but any other places where I can find hard questions from EBs to practice

i applied CB n have not heard anything. everyone im networking with said to j wait on HR

Anybody hear if Moelis NYC invites have gone out? I believe that 1st rounds should be next week

Have a first round coming up with Moelis NY and had a screening call for PJT SF - for anyone that interviewed with either previously could you let me know what resources you used to prepare?

For background I interned this summer in a mid-tier BB and looking to upgrade shop

Controversial

Successfully upgraded shops last year to one of the 2 firms you listed.

Moelis: Expect the process to be similar to your BB SA interview, but with much tougher technicals and heavier focus on deal experience. They do ask behaviorals but ~90% of the interview is focused on technicals + deal experience

PJT: Technicals are also very challenging, but given it is the SF office there’s a greater emphasis on genuine interest in tech. I’d recommend picking a subvertical (semis, software, fintech, etc.) and digging extremely deep into it

For prep, I personally used Capital Interview Experts for my FT interviews as they were the only resource I found that truly mirrored EB-level technical difficulty (believe they have ~40/50 past questions for Moelis and PJT but the exact number may have changed from last year)
