Based on the most helpful WSO content, here's what you need to know about Goldman Sachs Summer Analyst (SA) recruiting trends and timelines:

  1. Recruiting Timeline: Historically, Goldman Sachs has been known to open applications early, often in the summer prior to the internship year. For example, in previous years, applications for summer analyst roles opened as early as July. Keep an eye on their careers page and networking events for updates.

  2. Process Overview:

    • Application: Submit your resume, cover letter, and any required documents through their online portal.
    • HireVue: Goldman Sachs frequently uses HireVue for initial video interviews. Be prepared for behavioral and situational questions.
    • Superday: If you pass the HireVue stage, you'll be invited to a Superday, which involves multiple interviews with senior bankers.
  3. Networking: Networking is critical. Attend Goldman Sachs events, connect with alumni, and leverage LinkedIn to build relationships with current employees.

  4. Preparation:

    • Technical Skills: Brush up on financial modeling, valuation techniques, and market trends.
    • Behavioral Questions: Be ready to discuss your experiences, teamwork, leadership, and why you're interested in Goldman Sachs.
    • Mock Interviews: Practice with peers or mentors to refine your responses.
  5. Diversity Programs: Goldman Sachs often runs diversity-focused programs and early insight events. These can be a great way to get a head start in the process.

Good luck with your recruiting journey! If you have specific questions about the process or need advice, feel free to ask.

just got a HV too for NY IBD. did their ELS though. to my knowledge not selective, most people get. they are doing in batches so no need to worry for at least 1-2 days if you dont get

I got the email but it said the hirevue is coming in the coming days. I didn’t get it immediately. I know some people have already taken it. Does this mean I was not a top priority applicant?

do u know what the questions were like for the ppl who have taken it alr

If I applied to both IB and S&T does this mean that my Hirevue will be for both? The email inviting me to Hirevue only said IB though: Please be prepared to answer the questions about the areas of the firm to which you applied. If you applied for multiple opportunities, your interview will include questions from each business.

nah but i got the hv request and from what im reading it looks to be a mix of behavioral/technical (mostly behavioral with a 1-2 technical Qs)

How long till we hear back from the HireVue? When do SDs start to come out?

This is what my friend told me he got, but idk if they change? Can sb confirm?

  1. TMAY
  2. Tell us about a time when you worked in a team and a coworker didn't understand their task
  3. Describe a time when you were unsuccessful in meeting a challenging goal
  4. Sth about navigating the deadline
  5. Compliance question
  6. Describe how your skillset and experiences are applicable to the role?

I got an email saying i got selected for the nyc hirevue and that it’d be sent in the coming days but have not gotten it yet.

Anyone in the same boat?
