based off last yr -> everyone gets hirevue (unless u get screened out by low gpa or smth), first spd is i believe mid jan (think third week, followed by a second in the fourth week. Not 100% sure on this tho), they continued into early march (again, not 100% sure), networking for SA is a blackbox, i have friends who got offer/spd without talking to anyone

JPM has zero networking for SA, only for FT

I checked last year's timeline and saw first wave of superday was released after a week so if nothing changes, we should expect first wave to be out next week

I'm at one of JP's biggest target schools and this is completely false. Three or four years ago, yes they had no networking. Last year and the year before they reached out to top candidates in October for phone screens and gave them expedited super days immediately after new years

What do u expect the timeframe to be based off? Do it asap, within 24 hrs of receiving it if u wanna know what “asap” might mean

I did the HV and it was honestly very straightforward would encourage everyone to just do it and not overthink. Like genuinely, it was not bad at all. Good luck!

try creating another email and submitting another app while waiting lol. if you get the hirevue for the new app but not the old one then there must be sth wrong with it

It's a mix of tech and behavioral. Based on how high-level the questions are, I am not sure how this can filter out candidates.

Is it bad if I wait 3ish days to complete my hirevue? I'm away right now and do not have professional attire or ideal technology to complete it but I will be home tommorow.

Controversial

This would be my recommendation:

Superdays will start rolling over the next 2-3 weeks, with diversity Superdays happening first.

For prep, you should have the 400-question guide down cold. Since JPM is on the more technical side for BBs, you definitely need to work through "advanced" technicals (Paper LBOs, Merger Math, etc.). Personally for advanced technicals I prepared using Capital Interview Experts but if you have other resources feel free to use those.

Keep in mind I'm talking about NY, if you are recruiting for a regional office like SF your prep is gonna be slightly different (more industry focused technicals)

Don't neglect behaviorals - since JPM doesn't prioritize networking, you need a strong and well thought-out “Why JPM?” answer (can't really say oh cause I talked to xyz people)

To give you an idea of the level of technical difficulty to expect, I was asked this question in my interview which was also in the CIE guide:

Question:

If a company issues a dividend, how do the P/E, EV/EBITDA, and P/B ratios change?

Answer:

P/E decreases (equity value decreases)

EV/EBITDA remains unchanged (equity value decrease is offset by cash decrease)

P/B depends on the ratio prior to the dividend

  • = 1: Unchanged
  • > 1: Increases
  • 1: Decreases

You probably answered one of the screening questions wrong. For example, if the question asks you to put "N/A" for something that is not applicable to you, but you instead put "No," you will get rejected.

It means that they’re also wondering/following the topic. Like if someone asks “anyone else ___?” and I reply “bump”, I’m saying that I’m in the same boat and also wanna know the answer

Some folks are getting SDs already, but I assume it comes in waves with DEI/Insight program kids, then guys with strong referrals from MDs, then everyone else

Is JPM done extended offers for Markets 2027? Attended early insights program but still haven't heard anything - may be smoked.
