Citibank Intern from IU Kelley - WHAT THE F***??!

Just read the most sickening article ever about an intern at Citi this summer (who was fired in 10 days) and his run in with the law.

Disgusting and unbelievable, almost psychotic that someone can do that. Would love to hear any thoughts.

They posted a picture of him, followed by an image of his entire LinkedIn profile which included his profile picture. Is that sufficient enough for you?

Run-in is an understatement... not sure how he managed to get fired from Citi BEFORE the incidents too, that takes some seriously bad behavior.

Sounds like this dude is on drugs or has serious issues. Schizophrenia tends to show up in the early 20s, wonder if he was always a little questionable and just slipped through interviews, or something changed recently.

on linkedin he write says "Current Junior studying Finance and Law, Ethics and Decision-Making.". lol

Feel bad for aspiring IB analysts at Kelley, this piece of shit is gonna inflict serious damage on their reputation as a school…

I can imagine you, in class like 👀

How did this kid make it through the interview process without there being a single question of his integrity? 10 days in and getting fired is absurd.

This is unironically the answer unfortunately. Some candidates have to provide reasons to be hired. Other candidates , such as this guy, have to provide reasons not to be hired

If he got let go within 2 weeks of being hired by Citi because of behavior issues (which is insane, interns are typically given some grace in that department) then there 100% would be interview red flags

It's highly likely this kid has mental issues. He should be in a 24/7 psych ward under the close care of psychiatrists, and his brain should be checked for any tumors/issues. In this day of social media and how tight financial recruiting communities are in schools, seems strange that his behavior would only come up now. Which makes me believe this is a recent medical issue. Either way lock this guy up before he does something again.

The question is how does someone who so clearly belongs in a mental ward or locked up in prison end up clearing technical and behavioural interviews? I have a hard time believing someone like him can sanely pass an interview with an MD, or even study the guides needed to master the technicals without losing his shit. I don’t want to say he’s obviously a DEI hire and that’s how he got through, but man does it feel like that…

Reading the article made me sick shocked a peice of shit like this even made it through the interview process. I can get how that could happen but no way this psycho didn’t have a record before joining Citi, surprised he got past the background check here. Well that’s D&I for you.

another IU Kelley scandal. hopefully banks stop recruiting from this creeper factory.

Citi should also terminate the people who interviewed this guy and green lit him as a candidate...putting all women in the NYC office at risk.

While it's possible he was "normal" during interviews...it's unlikely and shows incredibly poor judgement on both Citi and IU Kelley (IU Kelley likely knew of his interpersonal issues and let him go to a bank like Citi + risk their reputation.)

If he did this damage in a month at NYC then there is zero chance, absolutely zero, that he doesnt have a history of this behavior at a University of all places.

100% other students and faculty knew about this guys behavior

He was also in the Bridging the Gap family... not a great look for the program.

He is not and was never in Bridging The Gap. He is in the BTG Community Slack in which anyone can join because it is public (2367 members).

Please check your facts first before posting.
He has never been allowed into or been a part of any official cohort.

Sickening, bro needs to be locked up in a psych ward. The mugshot says it all...

Nah, jail.

Why is everyone making these stupid and ridiculous comments about his behavior having anything to do with DEI. I can say with certainty that the majority of diverse interns are not compulsive rapists like this guy. This is clearly just one person who somehow made it through the cracks. Also, there is a high possibility that whatever psychotic break caused this behavior only developed after he got his SA offer.

high possibility after he got his offer? you are full of crap - there are IU students in here saying he was always off

first off, maybe search up the fucking definition of "possibility" before you comment, secondly, it's very easy for all these kids to jump in the comments and say he seemed weird after the fact.

"the majority"

Good morning,

I am the new Wall Street reporter for the NY Post. I would be interested in speaking to anyone who worked or studied with Chamberlain Nw-iue. You can find my email address details on X where you can contact me anonymously.

Best wishes,

………….. not even the slightest thought that what he did may be wrong. Dude doubled down

Actually met this kid about a year ago in NYC for some recruiting event. Kid was definately smart, but nothing struck me as super weird at the time (ima dude btw).

Above anything, this highlighted text is such a substantial problem we face across America. As a person I believe I am empathetic to forms of bail reform that may actually benefit first-time petty offenders and encourage them not to re-offend, you see more and more people with violent tendencies offend, get cuffed, processed, and are then back on the street within hours. It helps no one.

At least the prosecution actually asked for something this time, just seems it was struck down by a judge - who surprisingly seems nonpartisan based on docket history, so zero real reason for her direction here. Back when I lived in DC, getting a DA to actually press any charges at all seemed to be the issue, for fear of being primaried and overturned by a somehow more 'liberal' candidate. Popping up everywhere now it seems.

There should be no bail offered to those who authorities have direct evidence of committing violent crime. They are a threat to society. If they've been formally charged then I don't care what group it "disproportionally effects more," if they're beating and sexually assaulting people they belong in a cage away from normal people. DAs who enable this type of behavior are straight up evil, banal at best or malicious at worst. Full stop.

This guy was literally boasting to officers about his "knowledge of women" and showed 0 remorse, and it's definitely not a petty crime like say shoplifting some shoes. I'm curious if he's even an American or if he's an international student since they never addressed it in the article. Whatever the case, lock his ass up!

Oh yeah, we agree on this one. My bail reform comments were directed to non-violent first-timers, many of whom I believe will be better suited by bail opportunities in general, disproportionality plays no role in my view on the justice system.

This guy should have never been let out, and I'm glad he will find many uncomfortable days on metal benches ahead. There is no room for this treatment of women, men, or anybody in our society.

LOL at the people bringing up DEI because this guy was black. How many white rapists did you have in your very own fraternities that ended up getting jobs on Wall Street? Were those guys black too?
