ya applied for ASOF - were you diversity, me and my friend both did not get it, but I would assume my friend at least is quite qualified

Can people clarify whether they got first/second rounds for ACOF or ASOF? I had a first-round this week with ASOF. They run their processes separately so if y'all could clarify, that would be great.

Anyone hear about ASOF Round 2? Feel free to DM me if you're recruiting for ASOF

Do you know anyone who applied to both ACOF and ASOF and got interviews for both teams? Or do they usually just interview you for one or the other?

Anyone got second round/superday since their first interviews for ACOF or ASOF?

When did your friend have the first round? Think I got rejected… how well did you do on your case studies?

Wondering if anyone has insight into REPE technical portion of interview (1st round): is it going to be an excel model or paper lbo, or more high level technical questions?

can you share the timeline for Ares RE plz? heard diversity people still waiting for feedback and not sure how that will affect non-diverse

To all the international students out there - don't bother, Ares "sponsors" but not really. Just wait until the end of the summer when you don't receive a return and wonder why that white American kid who did nothing for 10 weeks signed FT

Ares's return rate is incredibly low and sponsors on a "case-by-case" basis, meaning you have to have extraordinary performance that makes them believe you're 10x more worthy than your American peers. Friend from school is going there for SA 2022 and already networking for FT recruitment out of this concern

I've heard otherwise in terms of the return rate, but maybe it's group dependent. Are you referring to just international students or return rates for all?

As a current Ares employee who works with numerous of our international hires every day (many of which started as summer analysts) can say this is completely inaccurate. I’m sorry that your friend has received sour information

Credit gets back to people really fast - usually within 24 hours after your interview. I can't say the same for RE and PE since these two groups are notoriously slow.
