Does anyone know if MS still sponsors Canadians? Last I heard, they stopped in 2019, but I could be wrong. Would appreciate it if someone knows!
I know they sponsored a Canadian in GCM last year. Job portal says they don't sponsor though so curious as well.
Are you allowed to apply to multiple divisions? I.e IB and Global Capital Markets.
Dude I have the same question. Can we apply to two different divisions that open at different time?? I know some open much later and some open pretty early.......
Yes, if I remember correctly you can apply to multiple divisions (up to 3) in one region (i.e North America)

Apply ASAP if it's rolling. You'll have plenty of time to prep if you actually prep every day.

Is it straight to superday after hirevue or are there multiple rounds before?
1st round then super when I interviewed last year. This time though there's no assessments just a Hirevue, so I wonder they're screening applicants.

i was accelerated in april based on 3 other offers. i just told my coffee chat person i had other offers and they sent me a first round. no alums in the office and no networking

Same here, international student got rejected this morning. Networked and have contacts who were willing to help. It makes sense if that's because of the visa sponsorship, but I heard MS has been supportive to this issue. My handshake portal also shows MS doesn't sponsor for this job posting.

Also got a rejection. Go to a target but didn’t network at all so probably partly that. Plus my hirevue was meh

Nope, from NYC go to a target 3.8+ with good internships, and otherwise have no obvious dings. Meh hirevue tho so take that for what it’s worth

Why are some comments saying above that their Handshake says that MS won't sponsor? My Handshake portal says that "Will sponsor a work visa and accepts OPT/CPT" for MS IBD (Locations: LA, SF, Menlo, NY, TX). I'm an international student so not sure about this...

Menlo is having a superday this week. Maybe you'll hear back this week ab First Rounds, then if you pass you'll have the superday later this week.

Sort of a similar situation for me as well... Had my first round and heard back about next steps with the team but didn't receive a scheduling upon providing my availabilities...

An analyst told me back in the beginning of April that they started early stages of diversity recruiting (the apps haven’t even opened up then), so I have no idea what the timeline is like.
did u guys apply to the sophomore IB one or the regular IB app? im a sophomore going into junior year in the fall and i applied to the sophomore one
The sophomore app is for sophomore summer, and the regular app is for junior summer. If you are a sophomore who wanted to intern for your junior summer, then you should have applied to the regular app. The sophomore app would have been for this summer (2021), and I'm pretty sure that those closed a while ago if you're currently a sophomore. The key is to look at the graduation dates that they specify in the application.
