Hi all, I didn't see a post for this so I thought I'd make one. The postings for SA 2021 are up already and have gone through the Virtual Cover Letter. Was wondering if anyone was further along in the process or had any other insight.

No I believe it was only one try but u get like a minute 30 to think before the question. did it like a week or two ago so I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure

Hey guys! I applied to the Founder's program/accelerator and ranked FMA first. I spoke with an associate involved in recruiting for FMA last Friday and told me they were finalizing first rounds on 8/14. I just received an email and I'm a bit confused as to if it qualifies as a "first round."
I submitted the application weeks ago, and I just received this email the Monday after they finalize first rounds saying I'm being "considered" and that I can "expect a status update from each business I applied to." This language is a bit vague, but the associate literally told me that he was sorting through resumes that hadn't already been weeded out with the GPA requirement to make the first-round list. The fact that this email says I'm being considered at least indicates that I've made it past first screener, and I don't know why they would contact me after they made the first round list if I hadn't made it...
This has all just left me very confused. Help!!
you're really over thinking all of this – I applied to the accelerator and got this update as did my friend. It's just an update/confirmation email... You'll know soon enough if you qualified for first rounds.

Depends on whether or not you’re in the accelerated program. Accelerated first rounds are definitely not technical, but the second round (SD) is.
Just curious, but how do you know that Accelerator Superdays will be technical? Will the Accelerator superday be like half behavioral and half technical or mostly technical? I applied for the finance and internal audit role (through the accelerator program), so not sure how technical it will be for super day

BlackRock is in a hiring freeze (this past summer's analysts haven't even heard about a return offer yet), so I figure it will be a while before we hear back.
^ this is false. They were in a hiring freeze earlier in the pandemic but now their not. And they've currently been telling the current summer interns this week and next about whether they got offers. Blackrock isn't rolling so they will only look at SA apps after the deadline which was yesterday

have had interviews where when i didnt get a response i still got the offer and also interviews when i got a response and got dinged

Wait is it necessary to send a thank you email? Half my interviewers didn't tell me their email so I wouldn't even know how to reach them..
if they didnt give it then dont bother and don't stress about it

a couple weeks on average...could be earlier or later
their pretty slow with recruiting on general but most of the time its a little under 2 weeks

Yes, these most recent superdays were all for the Accelerator Program. You're by no means weeded out if you weren't interviewed in this program. You had to tick off a box regarding your eligibility on the app, because it's essentially a diversity track.
Are applications closed for Blackrock's 2021 Summer internship? They seem to still be open online. I came across this opportunity late in the game.
I think, albeit still open online, applications are closed for Summer 2021.
