Not really true. Networking is important everywhere, you need the soft skills and the technical to kill it at a bulge bracket bank. Knowing people will never hinder success.
Rotational analyst here at JPM who was hired through JPMC SA internship. One of my Superday questions was, "What was your preparation process for this interview, and who did you talk to?" networking 100% matters.
Did no networking, had a SD on 2/2
When the number or analysts make up a small country, the referral process can get a little backed up so networking is kinda pointless at the junior level
Are hirevues reviewed on a rolling basis? Saw from a thread last year that some people did their hirevue in January and got a superday in March

I got a superday invite about 2-3 weeks after I submitted the hirevue last year, but I had a friend who submitted his hirevue just a few days after me and it took him over a month before he heard back

Easy behavioral from 400 Q's, two easy technicals. If you've reviewed the basic sections of the BIWS 400, you're more than equipped to do it.
So, if most people get hirevues, does resume even matter? Are they giving superdays purely based off hirevue, or do they take resume and hirevue into consideration?

Resume definitely matters. If your resume isn't up to par, they won't even waste their time watching your hirevue

There is an option to submit a cover letter. Is it advisable to do that? I feel like the more I say, the more reason they have to ding me. But, equally, maybe they will ding me without a cover letter?

If I completed the Hirevue on Jan 11 and did not receive an SD invite, does this mean I am busted? Or is there a chance they have not gone through it? (4.0 diversity target)
theres gonna be multiple rounds of superdays so youre prolly just gonna be looked at for later rounds
I also applied the day of / did the hirevue immediately and am yet to get an SD.

JP Markets came last week for OCR, and they said they weren’t going to have updates for Markets apps until end of this month. So I don’t think anyone received their Superday yet.
