I applied and my email confirmation said that Bain “will contact you in approximately 60 days should it be appropriate to move forward in our hiring process.” Is this universal for everyone? I’m just curious because I thought the turnaround time is typically within 2 weeks for an update.

yes. i could pick up to 3
My guess is that the economy and demand for future projects is still too opaque. So they're slowing / delaying the process down so that they can make offers when they have more clarity. But I'm just guessing.

I'm a bit out of practice with consulting recruitment, so I'd like to ask: Does Bain consider 0-3 years for their AC cohort? I might apply for the sake of it.

A DC recruiter said if your first choice office says no, they transfer your application to your next choice office and if unsuccessful your third after which they send a rejection email.

Thanks for the congrats, no offer yet but hopefully the interview turns into one! For stats: Non-target (borderline semi-target), 35 ACT, 3.72 GPA, strong extracurriculars, networked well.
Did you network with mainly associates or higher level bainies? I got a recommendation from a partner but didn't get an interview invite. Thanks!!

I just heard back. Complete non target school like no name at all for NE Bain, 3.9 GPA, President of consulting club and President of student government. Had 2 consulting internships prior. Networked a lot and got a partner referral.

don't think there would be any tangible adv for scheduling. just pick whatever works best w ur schedule and habits i'd say

I couldn't get to the link until 30 mins after it was sent out, and all that was left was 2 slots on Tuesday. Not sure if that's good or bad or how many slots there were initially but.

I applied close to the deadline to LA with on 7/7…earlier today I saw on my portal that my application was received 7/8. Now my application isn’t showing up at all. Does this mean a rejection?

There are different portals on Bain. The management consulting portal doesn’t show you but if you click apply and login for some other random job and go to your profile, it’ll show you your applications and when it was received.
Do we know if interviews come out dependent on how earlier you applied e.g. if you applied right before the deadline you would get an interview in a later wave.
