Hi wanted to ask you for the JPM app, there’s like 3 applications that look very familiar on the website. Do you know which one it is?

Non Target, 3.8 GPA, international Division1 student - athlete, got JPM hirevue same day of application. Also wrote that I can work under CPT/OPT

it’ll go back to being standardized once they start only hiring shitty candidates because it’s too early for a critical mass of thoughtful people to have decided on banking as a career. We’re getting to that timeline, which i believe will be freshman summer. At that time, the talent pool is either really strong (people who have been studying for this stuff since high school) or really weak (everyone else). To fix this, we will likely go back to the old style of OCR and superdays, where it’s a standard timeline

Okay since I got like 45 messages and got accused of gatekeeping lmaoooo, I got asked three questions 1) Team work and 2 valuations technicals (pretty basic). Hope this helps

Getting a SA might not be as feasible given firms are pretty particular about their candidate profile.

But, don't let that deter you. You can always manage to get an off cycle internship or even full time. Be very prepared (technicals, stock pitch, market news), respectful, and cast a wide net. Network more and consistently instead of timing cycles.

I managed to secure a referral from a CEO/President of an EB while in MSF with a prior engineering undergrad, and no experience in finance. All depends on your effort, your preparation, and how you present yourself.

Did anyone else have a difficult time on the Suited assessment? I did not feel too strongly about the essential competencies section.
