doesnt necessarily mean starting tomorrow, but basically confirms itll be in the next few days. past threads had it sound like there was a 1-2 day gap before official kickoff.

Along with this, if I have a coffee chat scheduled with one of my top firms later in the week (Friday), should I ask to move it up or just leave it?

Worth a shot only for top firms of your list. Interviews may/will potentially run concurrently so only try so for firms above the firm you got the interview invite for. If it wasn't a formal interview invite, would not try anything since you technically are not officially in a process.

We have been communicated internally tomorrow is the kick-off and we aren't one of the firms already mentioned as sending out interview invites. Would anticipate similar actions from other top UMMs/MFs. From this thread seems like GTCR formally kicked it off this time. Gl everyone!

Safe to assume if we haven’t gotten an interview / chat, we’re cooked / not getting oncycle looks?

When will the names that don't go day 1 minute 1 go? Chicago firms other than GTCR, NYC MMs (that I was told will go like week 1).

So assume “in-person coffee chat” = interview? If they didn’t specify bringing laptops

Bro lmao it just started wym offers out…y u tryna stress heads. Name firms offer out at buddy

Semi-target not ideal GPA, haven't heard anything. Based on this thread, I'm hoping it's almost entirely MFs/top UMMs that have kicked off and everyone else is waiting to go..

Any December 25 grads/Fall 2025 grads participating in on cycle right now?

Do we have any updates on if some firms have filled their on cycle spots?

Did Apollo HBV go/is done? Any other hybrid/special sits seats going?

Working at EB right now - if I haven't spoken with HHs already in the past couple of months, is there anything I can do to get in front of these on cycle processes or is it too late now?

Are these for PE only or does that include Private Credit / Secondaries?

If they’re not proactively reaching out, they won’t start showing you jobs because you reached out. They are aware of every analyst in every group. But there’s no downside so might as well

For those who got on cycle offers, did you guys network recently w headhunters / firms

Anonymous Monkey:

Been wondering the same. Im an AN2 and Haven’t had any outreach

Have received zero outreach. Target, 3.9 GPA, boutique bank. Any advice for second years looking to participate?

looks like it has slowed a bit. For those saying firms “filled” – this means they are done recruiting on-cycle and will evaluate how many off-cycle spots they need (i.e., asking who actually filled their entire asso class)?

Interviewed with 2 firms, both of them said they wouldn’t be recruiting off cycle unless something materially changes. Being that Oncycle was later this year I’m assuming firms aren’t looking to recruit off cycle unless they have to

Tommorow, there is always a big wave in the succeeding 2 weeks of the on-cycle process for MM / rest of the UMM's. That and there is going to be a large off-cycle wave like this past Jan was for the class above you (think more MF/UMM offers were given out in Jan/Feb than offical on-cycle for C/O 2026).

if I had a five hour on cycle virtual interview on yesterday (Thursday) until 5PM and still haven’t heard anything back (Friday 4PM), safe to say I’m dinged, right? Thought it has went well oof

Firstly, it is almost certain that you got eliminated from the process and that you won’t be moving forward. However you never know and you might genuinely be waitlisted (best case scenario). What you should be doing (should have been doing this since morning) is calling the firm (ideally directly call / email someone there you connected with well; if not then could potentially call the headhunter though I think this is vastly inferior to directly contacting the firm and might even have some cons if you want to move forward with other clients of the HH) and asking for an update and reaffirming your interest in the opportunity (and maybe even remind them of other places that invited you where you might be heading to interview to drive up some competitive tension).

I finished the final round for a process and the HH said the firm wanted to extend me an offer after doing reference checks on Tuesday. Can I assume that I have been dinged?
