You should have received an email from the HR team asking you to apply to an updated posting. Not sure what was wrong with the initial posting.

Hi there, would appreciate if anyone knows if you need to submit a different Cover Letter for applying to different divisions within Morgan Stanley. For instance, if you wanted to apply to Investment Management and Global Markets - would you need to submit 2 separate Cover Letters or is it like Goldman's application please?

Also, does anyone know whether MS will open IBD off-cycle in London for beginning of 2022? So far, there is only GCM but we are limited to 3 applications per cycle, so I don't want to risk applying for GCM and then later IBD opening

Done the test on the 28th July, then got an invite to the Hirevue equivalent from pymetrics on the 4th August. Completed on the 6th and waiting for my outcome.

I am in a similar boat. The SA descriptions are not the same for all. Some places has full time graduate programs which are nice but very competitive

Think the website allows you to apply to more than 3. But risk is if you do they may just reject all of your applications. Have heard of this happening to people in the past

I got rejected despite a perfect report (scored much better in all sections)...I guess it's due to my lack of prior internships though

Not sure if it's due to the lack of internship? We are only penultimate students and I don't think we are expected to have lots of internships on our CV. Maybe you lacked work or extracurricular experience or they didn't like your cover letter?
MS reject lots of candidates at first round and bring very few through to phone interview. One of the most difficult banks to get a first round for.

How well do you have to do in MS online tests to get a phone interview? I got 'well above requirements' in SJT and Inductive Reasoning, but only 'above requirements' for Numerical and wondering if that means an automatic ding.
I got well above the requirements in the Inductive and Numerical, and very well alligned with the business unit in the SJT and got dinged. I have solid experience as well so no idea about what the criteria is
